Anyone else get gest. diabetes in 1st trimester?

    Hello,

Now I keep collecting points on high risk things in this pregnancy, over 40, twins and now gestational diabetes...ugh
Anyone else get this in first trimester?
Im worried as those are the crucial weeks the babies formed and if I had it all along. Im worried that they might have developmental problems with high sugars. But there is no definate way of knowing when the blood sugars went crazy...
    Any info welcome,

I go to see the nutritionist and RN next week and they said to do strict diet first.

    Ann

I (finally) answered you on the GD board.

Some of your fears can be addressed by the OB and RN. They can reassure you that it can all be managed well.
