did your marginal previa move by delivery time?

I was diagnosed with marginal previa after a bleed at 16 weeks.

My u/s at 19w shows that the placenta is still in the same location and even more of it is covering the cervix. I go back for another u/s at 25w to see if it moves up. Peri has started talking about c-section if it doesn't move.

If you've had placenta previa, did yours move up by delivery time? Did you deliver vaginally or via c-section.

At 16w5d it was still a low lying placenta. By 20w it had moved off the cervix and I was able to have a vaginal birth at delivery. Hope yours does the same.

My uterus is deformed, even though my first pg didn't have previa, I had marginal previa with the second and was told it 'may' move, but because of my deformity odds were not in my favor that it move...and it didn't. I had to have a c-section.

++++++ thoughts to you that it moves for you and you can have a natural delivery!

I also was diagnosed with marginal previa at around 19wks and it never moved. I had a scheduled c/s, which turned emergency (but that's another story not related to the previa).

My previa was total and kept gradually creeping up and away every week following being diagnosed at 16w. By 22w it had completely resolved. My perinatologist reminded me that by the time one is ready to deliver 90% of previa has resolved. Hang in there! As the baby grows, the previa should resolve.

My baby is being born on June 30th via c-section due to an abdominal myomectomy I had in 12/06. The OB believes my uterine wall may rupture since it was weakened by the surgery. We don't want to take any chances of that...especially after all I have been through.

Hang tight and I am praying it resolves for you. I think it is annoying and scarey, rather than a real risk.

xxoo
