hey everyone. I had a re draw of my HCG that was an elevated negative count last week. My count came back today lower then last week, which means that I was pg, but m/c. Its ok right now. I'm alright at the moment. At least I know its possible. Hubby and I are still talking about getting his varicocele fixed so that our chances are better next time. Thanks for listening. Erin

erin- sorry to hear that you had a chemical p/g. Hope getting DH's carricoles fixed will improve your chances. Good luck

Is that what you call it is a chemical pg? I've never heard of it called that before. I guess thats an interesting way to put it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the encouragement. Erin

yes, the hcg levels don't go very high since even though the embryo starts dividing & growing it doesn't attach any where. Also, called a biochemical pg. A chem pg can actually survive up to 6wks gestation

I would guess that I was only 2 or 3 weeks along just because thats when I started feeling sick all the time and started having the "pg symptoms". I still haven't passed anything or started my cycle so I think thats interesting. According to blood tests I've m/c, but it concerns me because I haven't passed any tissue or anything yet. One of my nurse friends said to wait a couple of weeks and then call the doctor or request another blood test.

that is good advice- otherwise with a chem pg you may just a have a heavier than normal AF w/o passing tissue

Somebody else told me it may take awhile to get AF. I wouldn't know why, but I guess if it does then it does. Somebody at work told me today that maybe the lab made a mistake with the count last Monday when they told me I m/c. I hope thats just the case. I'm still trying to act as though I am pg because with my job there are restrictions if you're pg. I don't want to hurt anything that might be in there. Anyways I'll keep you posted. Erin

Well, I did in deed m/c. I finally passed everything about a week ago now. It was painful and heavy just like I was told it would be. I'm not too bummed though because I know now that it is possible so I will just keep hoping and praying that it will happen again. Thanks to all of your support out there. Erin

I'm doing just fine with it because we've been told for so long that it can't happen and it did. So I'm just hoping it happens again! Thanks for your concern though. Erin
