I made it to 35 weeks and off bedrest!

I am so excited to have gotten this far, I never thought I would after all the L&D visits and other excitement. This third trimester is all new to me, even though its my second baby. And I am so relieved to be off bedrest. I'm still supposed to take it easy this week, but I can start doing more, and I am dying to do stuff- get ready for the baby, get ready for Christmas, clean the house- just be a "normal" pregnant mommy!

I had an appointment today- I'm still at 1 cm dilated, but she said the baby is down a lot lower and my cervix is soft. I got the go-ahead to start doing yoga exercises again and some things around the house. I forgot to ask if we can have sex again- and I really dont want to call about that- maybe i'll wait until my next appointment. My OB isnt concerned at all if I go into labor at this point, especially where this baby has already had the steroid shots and is measuring rather large. It feels strange to sit and wait after all the weeks of being prepared to have the baby at any time. I am so thankful that I stayed pregnant this long, I dont know if it was the 17-P shots or the bedrest, but it worked.

fantastic news! I remember that feeling, too~it's a completely free feeling. It does feel weird to be waiting for your baby to be born when it seems like for so long you were hoping your baby would stay put!

Looking forward to hearing some exciting news soon and enjoy your "nesting".

    GREAT NEWS!!!!

It is so nice to have a little time to enjoy being pregnant without all of the worry that comes with bedrest and a high risk pregnancy. Enjoy!!!
