High risk mom also wanting to join. m/c ment

Hi everyone I usually lerk here but do most of my posting on the October due date board. I am considered High risk pregnancy as well here is my history as brief as possible.

I had 3 unexplained m/c all in 2nd trimester (cause now known)
8+ years infertility because of PCOS.
Finally concieved on my own and found out around 20 week my son would be born with trisomy21 through amnio as well as severe heart defects with fetal echos. Also found out I have MTHFR and protein S defiency both clotting disorders which is thought to be the cause of my previous pregnancy losses. Luckly It was caught before I had another loss with my son. I took lovenox 40mg inj daily as well as 4mg folic acid and baby asprin. I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidsm around 8 years ago. Had to be induced at 37 weeks with my last pregnancy due to placenta failure causing low amniotic fluid. I also had gestational diabetes, kidney stones and tons of UTIs during pregnancy.

Currently 13 weeks pregnant. I am seen in high risk maternity unit and watched closely. I take same medication as last pregnancy. I have 2nd attmept for Nuchal scan on the 20th (tomorrow) since they couldnt get baby in right position for measurements last week. I plan to have Quad screen with this to check for odds of another child with trisomy 21 or chromosomal defects. I have been tested genetically and besides the MTHFR I do not carry any genetic problems for down syndrome. Although my risk have greatly increased because I have a son with DS. they were 1 in 700 before and are now 1 in 100. I am alittle worried about this pregnancy, but have high hopes for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Hope you have room for one more high risk momma. Hope your not asleep from my long story..lol

Nice to meet everyone and I look forward to getting to know you all!

Cindy

Hi Cyber-twin

Good to see you posting here too, it's actually good to have somebody with the same "issues" as me...not much comfort I know, but you know what I mean

I sent you a big reply in my original post, I saw that before I saw this.

Anyway, good to have you around...and here's to a happy and healthy pregnancy to all of us

Hugs
K
