Update on my appt. Long

I went in for my check up and everything is going great. I have to go back in 2wks. He still doesn't want me to do any strenious work but there's no reason for pelvic rest anymore.

He said that he wants me to do 4 hours of additional rest a day. No more than 90 min or standing or walking at a time followed by 1 hour of rest.

I can return to work. He will re-check at each appt then decide if he wants me to remain on the same. What I thought were contractions were the babies stretching. We saw it on the u/s.

He said not to hesitate a call if I have any concerns. I have to repeat my 3hr glucose test sometime within the next 2wks. He wants to keep a close eye on that.

He also said that if the diagnosis was wrong about IC then I would have already gone into PTL but because I haven't and my cervix and the babies are okay then he's almost sure it's IC. If my cervix decides to thin and shorten all the way to the stitch it will not dialate (hopefully) because of the stitch. He said it will not trigger labor though and that's a good thing.

The u/s tech asked if I wanted to know the sex because the babies were baring all to us. Of course I found out. They were being uncoperative. Baby on the right punched the u/s so hard that it moved. We have a picture of that. I'll have to scan it. Baby on the left was facing down. It was so cute.

Well, I'm going shopping with my cousin for an Easter Dress for my oldest neice and something for Baby Elby for his birthday.

Baby on the left is a girl and Baby on the right is a Boy.

So glad to hear the great update! Out of curiosity, was the doc you met with today a Peri or an OB?

Leslie - It's a Peri. I go to the MFM group here in Northern Il. They're so nice.
