Smile Hi everyone, new here... FSH of 100 (highest)

Hi everyone. This is my first official post and I can't find an intro board. I have premature ovarian failure, so I decided to introduce myself here. My name is Nikki and I'm a 32 year old living in NYC. I was diagnosed almost 4 months ago (tomorrow makes 4 mos) and I've been wading through my diagnosis. I was previously told that I had PCOS, so my POF went untreated for a really long time. I'm not sure how long I've had it and to say I'm devastated would be the understatement of the year. I haven't found any other communities with a large enough POF following to make it worth joining - except here!
I hope to get to know all of you ladies and learn a lot! Feel free to ask me anything and I'll answer as soon as I can.
Does anyone else have FSH as high as mine? Everyone seems to be around the 20 mark (so far that I've read). I'm only that low if I'm on OCP.
I have been trying to blog through my diagnosis. Feel free to read some of what I've gone through using the link in my siggy. It's not a professional blog, it's like my journal... so please bear that in mind.

Hi praying. So sorry to hear of your dx of POF. I don't think we really have an intro board, so starting your own thread was the way to go There are many knowledgeable women on here that can help answer your questions and get you through this. My FSH the last time it was checked was 49 I believe. I am not sure if there are any girls here with an FSH of 100, but I know there have been in the past. Hopefully they will check in. I also have a blog of my IF journey. I am no longer seeking IF treatment, so my blog isn't so much about IF stuff anymore. We are just TTC naturally and seeing what happens. I would love to read your blog, but it seems your signature isn't showing up on your post. YOu may need to update your settings. Are you currently seeing an RE and doing treatment or are you still in the early stages of seeing what path you want to persue?

I have seen a few success stories with FSH's that high. Mine has been as high as 46. For some reason, when i take drugs, (even just a trigger shot), the cycle that follows is a mess (18 day cycles and ovulating on day 6). So for right now, we are just trying naturally also. One thing that I learned in this journey is how to really listen to myself and my body. I do imagery every day which help to keep me hopeful. Here is a link to a woman who conceived naturally using imagery from Fertile Heart. It lifted my heart when I read it. It's really quite unbelievable. I hope it does the same for you. She's about 6 months pregnant : )

    Hi Praying,

I'm sorry to hear about your POF. But there is hope!! You need to start Acupuncture and also take Wheat Germ or Wheat Grass. These two are natural vitamins and help bring down your FSH. I read someone on this site that a woman had higher than 100 FSH and with combining Acupuncture and herbs/vitamins, it brought it down to nearly normal range. I'm about to start an IVF cycle and my FSH was 12. I think the cut off was 10. I was already doing Acupuncture but not Wheat Germ. After almost 2 months my next FSH was 8! which cleared me for an IVF cylce.

I can't stress enough how much Acupuncuter helps and when needed combined with herbs/vitamins.

    Good Luck to you!

Hi praying, my highest fsh was 126! Through DHEA, acupuncture, and hrt my best reading has been 12!! I then came off the hrt and produced a follicle. The clinic said no to a natural ivf clinic due to a raised lh level but we were told to try naturally which we've done and now waiting to test. So I can't promise you success but I wish you hope! Oh and I've been told to take very high level of follic acid for egg quality too at 5mg a day good luck!

Thank you all so much for responding. I was doing acupuncture for a while, but it didn't feel "right". I can't describe it, but I felt like she wasn't listening to me. It felt off... I can't really explain. I do want to find another acupuncturist. That is on my to-do list. I've also heard about the wheat germ. I've been kind of at a stand still because I have so many appointments. It's been 4 months since my diagnosis. I feel like I know a little bit more, but I'm not where I want to be. I'm a banker, so my lifestyle makes it kind of hard to do all of the things I know I need to do. I work 50 hour weeks and have a horrible commute into Manhattan. I need balance. I know that!
Thank you for being so open and welcoming. I will post a link to my blog. I'm not sure why it's not showing in my siggy. I'll update my settings!

    Hi there,

I just wanted to say that my FSH is 75, I have low AMH and I'm 43 years old. My doctor is realistic with me, but he says that miracles happen. We're waiting another month, so I can track my cycle (temperature, mucus and cervical position) and so that whatever was in my ovaries (he said cysts, but I was thinking three follicles between 14 and 18 mm?) can clear out. He isn't sure if my ovaries can be stimulated.

In the meantime, I have been seeing an acupuncturist, taking royal jelly, DHEA, COQ10, zinc, sellenium, maca and vitamins to see if I can't help myself naturally. All the stories on here about miracles happening have given me hope.

    Here's hoping!
    Marianne

    Hi Nikki! (and everyone!)

I am 27 years old, and I am currently waiting for my second RE appointment (my first was 4 days ago). I go back in 2.5 weeks to get my second FSH result. The first time my FSH was tested was about 3 months ago and it was 154 The appointment in 2.5 weeks will confirm that I have premature ovarian failure. So yes, there are people with FSH as high as yours out there! I was 26 when my FSH tested at 154. I haven't had a cycle since last summer, just sporadic spotting, and for the past 13 years I've been mostly on BCP and when off of them for 3 of those years (including the past 2 years), I had cycles of different lengths: 21 days, 65 days, 45 days, etc... Also, for the past 8 months, I have had symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and night sweats. I am also trying to come to terms with what is ahead for me. The biggest regret of mine now is that I didn't pester my gynecologist more in the past to investigate what was going on. For the last 7 years I've seen him for spotting issues, and he always shrugged it off saying "when you get pregnant oneday, I'm sure things will sort themselves out". It's so hard to get over that now...

    Nice to meet you!

    Hi Guys,

I have to say I have never ever posted anything on the internet before but reading all these posts today, I would really like to share my story. I'm turning 32 this August and have been trying to conceive for the last 2 years. The moment I got married, I stopped getting my period (weird). I waited a year before I checked it out with a RE, where he told me that my FSH level was at 98. He told me to take DHEA and Co Enz (200mg) 3 times a day, along with prenatal vitamins. I started acupuncture also at that time. 3 months later along with getting my period on a regular basis on its own, my FSH levels went down to 27. This month I have not gotten my period, a few days late right now. I'm experiencing period symptoms of bloating and cramping but no blood, only clear discharge. My husband and I did not try to conceive this cycle so I highly doubt this is a pregnancy symptom. As I am just starting this journey, I was wondering if anyone else experienced these symptoms?
