High FSH and alternative/natural remedies

Sorry for not responding before now. I've been away for work and was away from the internet for a week (is that even possible? Yes!). I live in Burgundy between Auxerre and Dijon (about 2 hours from Paris). I have only just started acupuncture and my CoQ10 and DHEA supplements along with royal jelly. My acupuncturist helps with fertility issues and she herself had a baby at 43. Tomorrow I'm going in for an operation because when I had my ultrasound to check out my ovaries, my "gynéco" found a polyp in my uterus, which he said could prevent implantation. So I'll that that removed tomorrow and then we can continue trying.

Where in France are you? That's great to hear that you have had success reducing your FSH with all those natural remedies! I hope to be able to report back the same good news!

I too am in the same situation - low amh and high fsh and living in France!!! Where in france are you? I've been using wheatgrass, royal jelly, bee pollen, CoQ10, acupuncture for 4 months. My fsh is down to 25 from 55!! I too am scared about DHEA but will give it a go once I've had a blood test to check my level. Don't lose hope. I've seen a change and can only hope things will continue to get better.

Thanks for suggesting the UK site. I will have a look! Since last posting, I have ordered DHEA, CoQ10 and some other mineral supplements. I have also had acupuncture with an acupuncturist who works on fertility issues. I'm heading in for an operation to remove a polyp from my uterus tomorrow (which could have been preventing implantation), so hopefully things will start improving after that.

Let me know how your scan and consult went. What are the next steps for you?

Hi Kimkim,

I looked around for local acupuncturists who mentioned fertility issues on their websites. If they don't have sites, you can always call to see what issues they deal with. I would think that all of them can treat fertility problems (they are trained for the whole body, after all!).

I live in France and have been unable to find wheatgrass! They just don't do juice the way it's done in other countries. I have been tempted to grow and juice my own (sounds time-consuming) or buy it bottled or in pill form. Not sure what to do on that one.

As far as alternative remedies, I have some questions

- how do you find an acupuncturist who you can trust?
- do you get your wheatgrass shots from a juice bar or can you buy it bottled?

My worse fsh result was 126 and I haven't given up yet!! I am taking DHEA which I know you're unsure of but to me the potential benefit out weighed any risks. I also have regular acupuncture. I'm taking royal jelly and started wheat grass but didn't stick with it.

I'm having a scan and consult next week to look at treatment options.

Have you also looked at fertility friends uk site? Also lots of support and advice on there
