JK- I am not taking royal jelly, but I do plan on taking my supplements all the way through, but I did also verify with my RE that he was ok with them. As far as I know honey is fine for pregnant ladies just not good for small children.
AFM - So I had another u/s this morning and I have 2 8's on my right and they were able to see the left ovary this time (I did take a laxative last night), but it was all quiet. The resident (I think that is who does the ultrasounds) did let me know that there is a chance I would be canceled as I have been on stims 7 days and there should be more activity by now. He said they would probably do another u/s but he was just giving me a heads up about the possibility of being canceled. so we will see when they want me to come back when they call after the bloodwork comes in. Also my lining is still quite thin.Me 38 DH 43

I'm sorry Amber.
Perhaps you were over-suppressed? Do you think the RE will try a different protocol? Stimming is so stressful since our bodies can react differently month to month. You are in my thoughts.

Oh Amber! I am so sorry to hear about the possibility of your cycle getting cancelled. Let us know what the resident says and what you are thinking/feeling about this and maybe any next steps. I am sorry - hugs your way. I know what cancelled cycles are like

FYI...I heard from a member from another thread, who may also belong to this one as well, recommending stopping royal jelly prior to stimming, so I stopped right away. She said it may interfere with the stimming process. Hope this is helpful to anyone on it.
Amber - royal jelly is a component of raw jelly, which has not been homogenized. Regular honey has been homogenized and is ok for pregnancy as a result, but raw honey is a no no for pregnancy, breast feeding and feeding to children under 1 y o. Hope this helps for future reference!

VQ - yes I could be oversuppressed, this is my first time on bcps prior to cycling so I think that may have been an issue.
Well not cancelled yet. I go back on Wednesday for more b/w and u/s. I did ask about my e2 levels this time, and they were 27, not very good for 7 days of stimming.Me 38 DH 43

Amber - Argh. I do think BCPs have a tendencey to oversuppress. You typically respond pretty well, don't you? I hope your follies and E2 start to perk up soon so this cycle doesn't get cancelled.
JK - What's the difference between regular and raw honey?

fer - Yes with my previous IVFs I have responded well, but they were also 2 years ago, so who really knows if its the BCPs or the 2 years (probably a combo of both).
JK - I think you mean raw honey is not pasteurized.
GMG - Glad you had good weekend away.Me 38 DH 43

Fer - raw honey has not been pasteurized and could contain some bacteria which may be harmful in 2ww, pregnancy or to infants under a year, and is to be avoided when breast feeding. Pasteurized honey (any honey which is NOT marked as raw honey), has been heat treated to kill bacteria and is safe for 2ww and pregnancy. Raw honey is purported to have some additional health benefits which heat treated, or regular honey, does not contain.
