Irentita- They added in the Menopur on day 5 of stims when my LH was less than 1. I have no idea why...I can tell you that after one day of Menopur I went from 1 measurable follicle to 4 with 2 more possible. I go tomorrow for bw/us and hopefully will be given a day for retrieval. I am so sorry your cycle was cancelled Do you know much about the lab there? I have gotten an egg out of each follicle in my past two cycles, 8 eggs between 2 cycles, and have only had 1 embryo make it to a 3 day transfer. I am really holding on to the hope that less drugs and a better lab will get me more embryos.

Hi! Interesting abou the menopur. My LH was around 7-10, so I guess maybe that's why they didn't add the menopur!

I don't know much about the lab, but I have heard it's okay. (This was my first IVF there). I do believe lower stims are better for egg quality, so I really hope it works for you! Good luck, and hope to hear some good news from you in a few weeks

Thanks Irenita- I just got back from bw/us. I have 1 at 17, 2 at 16, 2 at 13 and 1 at 11. I really hope all 6 are ready by retrieval. I am so tired of all this IVF stuff. I will keep you posted.

Hi! I see from your signature that you had some luck! I am so excited for you. I hope my next cycle goes better, keep us posted on how it turns out.
Do you mind sharing your thoughts on high-stim vs. low stim? Did you notice any difference in quality with the eggs/embryos? Also, did I see that correctly that they did your retrieval on 3/25 (which is Sunday?) I didn't know they did them on Sundays...

    GL!!!!!!

p.s. If you don't mind sharing, Did you do any estrogen priming before starting your IVF cycle? If so, how much and for how many days? And waht was your starting FSH?

We had a great cycle there. I am so happy that we made it to transfer with 2. Of course nothing is a sure thing, so I am trying to stay calm and not get too excited.

We did not do estrogen priming and my starting FSH this month was 6. I am wondering if starting with a lower FSH made a difference. although my November FSH was 4??? I have no idea was goes on with FSH. I have had it tested 3 times now, and it was only high once. But I respond craptastically to stims, so I guess the 12 is accurate.

My November cycle we only had 1 to transfer but that clinic scored it 4.25 with 5 being the best. It looked pretty perfect to me.
Check's lab did not give me a grading of the embryos, but one was a 6 cell and one was an 8 cell, and neither appeared to have any fragmentation. The quality looked to be the same as in November, but there were 2 of them this time.

I also had an acupuncturist come to my house after transfer for a session. I read that acupuncture can help to increase IVF success rates. I guess I have 2 weeks now to wait and worry.

I hope your next cycle there goes better for you. When are you starting?
