LaurenDAG:
"TTC" means "trying to conceive." I took 75 mg of DHEA a day from the Metro pharmacy across from Hunter College, under the orders of physician Norbert Gleicher from the Center for Human Reproduction (CHR), a few blocks from that subway stop. Not all DHEA is the same, and it had to be specially compounded.
Since you are investing so much money in this, I do suggest going to CHR. Cornell is a great facility and I have a friend who is going there. However, based on my success in spontaneous NATURAL conception, I really do believe there must be something to DHEA. Of course, there are no guarantees -- I really do feel a little luck was involved in my situation.
Also: Are you doing acupuncture? Is your weight and nutrition healthy too? I don't know if these things matter at all, but I am 5'2 with a BMI of about 20 (weight 114), which is smack in the middle of my healthy range. I also eat really clean, too.
I should add, too, that I am 35 years old. The younger you are, the greater your chance of success, according to some physicians.
Please let me know if you have other questions.
Claudia
