I had a natural miracle after 4 back to back negative IUI's with injectables. I was even on a list for donor egg with IVF as they wouldn't even use my own eggs. I was 31 at the time of the fertility treatments. The following month after the last IUI I got pregnant naturally. I am now 36 and hoping that a natural miracle will happen again.

Hello! I am very new to this and really just looking for support. I just started IVF a month ago and started with Clomid and that didnt work and after meeting with my dr she told me that i began ivf with FSH level of 13 and after taking clomid it shot up to 29 therefore i was not a candidate for In vitro...at which point i stopped listening...its sad but i felt heartbroken. I don't understand why this is happening...i am the mother of two girls 9 & 6 and then back in 2005 I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism so i am thinking that might have something to do with the fact that i cannot get pregnant. I am supposed to start the follistim next week because i couldnt get pregnant for the month of may. I am just so scared that nothing will work and that i am just getting my hopes up!!!

One of my teacher aides at the school I work at heard that I was undergoing IVF treatment. She bought in her diary from 1993 and showed me all the pages where she had scribbled in appointments, bloodwork results, scans, injections etc.

Her and her husband had been trying to fall pregnant for THIRTEEN YEARS! She was 39. In 1993 she got ONE egg, but her husband's sperm by that time was no good so they used donor sperm. That one little egg was all they needed. She now has a beautiful 15 year old daughter who is her absolute pride and joy and I love seeing them together.

She wanted to show me her diary so that I could take some hope from it. It worked a treat. I had tears in my eyes when I read the page that told of her positive preg test! I am using the same clinic she used. Her doctor along with the RE I use were the founders of IVF treatment in Australia so I know I am in good hands and I know I only need ONE good egg!

My inspirational story

I'm so glad I found Fertile thoughts when I was first diagnosed with high FSH because if I followed my first doctors advice I may have given up. Reading these stories and gathering information from the patients who have been going through IF empowered me to look for a good RE. I'm almost 39 and my highest FSH was 15 which is not that high, but some clinics especially the large ones will not proceed to IVF with you because they are worried about their stats. We had sperm issues (slow swimmers) so IVF was necessary. I found Dominion Fertility on this website and I did natural cycle IVF and I'm 7 weeks pregnant and we saw a HB on the u/s! It is the most amazing little flicker on the screen, and my DH and I burst out crying with joy. I know we still have a long pregnancy before we bring home our little miracle, but I feel like shouting from the roof tops to all those woman with high FSH and those guys too with sperm issues.

Mine was 62...
...and then 98

If you read down that list that the first poster gave you, I'm on there. I was 36 when it all started, and I'm 40 now. Since that list was done, I've gone on to have my second daughter -- totally natural. My daughters are 16 months apart.

Please don't give up hope. Find a good RE who will work with you and good luck!
