HIGH FSH looking for success stories!! anyone used Co Q10 whilte try to conceive..?

Hi girls, i am new to this forum i am glad i found it, it really gives lot of women hope to keep going..i live in canada and looking to c if any of the girls are in canada and if they know any High FSH friendly doctor. i only found 2 i toronto but i live in quebec.

I Just turned 39 in october, I have 2 older kids from a previous marriage. started TTC with my husband May 2008 with 2 months break from TTC in (Aug n Sep of 2008). Feb. 13, 2009 I had the best surprise I had my BFP. Unfortunatly, lost my baby at 12wks 2 days on April 14. The pain was too much to handle, i still feel the emptiness in me sometimes. My husband is a great prerson and he is a great supporter..i really love him for that.

I decided to go to a fertility specialist to c why it is taking me 6 months (7 cycles) and i still did not get pregrant and to also rush it and take clomid or something. all my test were normal, Progesteron, TSH,LH,E2,etc however. to my shocking surprise my FSH was soooooooo elevated it was 38 on CD4 and my internatl ultra sound had only one follicle this cycle i had a feeling it wont be good bc usually i get so much eggwhit before ovualtion this time i did not have a lot but still i can tell based on my BBT and my pain that i get before ovulation that i did ovulate.

Anyhow, the FS would not even tell me what is the equivelant # in CD3 i mean maybe 30? just said " i wont be able to help you, i know you are ovulating and you still have your cycle that is good just it is better to try on your own. you have better chance getting pregnant naturally rather than using IUI or IVF PLUS she mentioned that the injection and the treatments might not help me at all so it will be waist of money"

she did not even let me re-test it in couple of months she said " what your FSH it will be down to 20! that is still high i wont work with it...... i know FSH fluctuate, i know some ppl had it in their 30's and more and it went back down to 10 or 7 and got pregnant again... but she did not even give me the chance to repeat it. I know some ppl had it at 6 a year or a year and half ago and when they retested it jumped so high....

I mentioned to her that i have been under so much stress lately from many things including TTC, my diet is not that great and i need to do some kind of CARDIOVASCULAR activity bc i heard it will help with my blood flow.. she was soooo cold.. and said nop i can not help you....I know for sure they are NOT A HIGH FSH friendly clinic.. they only worry about their clinic statistics and reputation.

she only gave me one option is Donor egg.. at that momment i am not excepting the idea since i just lost my baby 7 months ago and i know i am ovulating and my cycle is normal .. averaging 25 cd or little more... obviously i had a good eggs during some cycles so why should i use a donnor egg now.

my plan is start excersising to let the blood flow move better, change the way i eat,etc.. do some kind of yoga bc i heard cardiovascular excersises help such as brisk walking and yoga..

so I am looking for all the help and the support that i can get from girlst that are going through the same experience. I know lots of girls on this site got pregnant naturallly after trying so many failed IVF and IUI...

I read so much also about DHEA which made me curious specially when some clinic used it through their research and found that it does help produce more eggs and it does help reduce FSH. I started a week ago trying a shot of fresh weatgrass daily or sometime i get it and freez it for the second morning bc i do not feel like going again to the same place..

Anyway girls, thank you so much for your help and support. Congratulation for the ones they got BFP and lots of baby dust for the rest that are still TTC.

    Hello!
I'm in Toronto, Ontario and I have high fsh too. Can I ask you what drs you heard of here that are fsh friendly? I'm not certain mine is. Certainly the first one I saw was not! This one has me doing a "diagnostic cycle" of simply monitoring me to see what my body does naturally. They won't stimulate me with high fsh; they may not even monitor me more than once more.

I'm 38 - 39 in Feb. I have two children (4.5yo and 2.5yo). Both of those pg were achieved very, very quickly, as was a third pg in Jan 2009 (which was ectopic).

My fsh and other levels only started to be tested in Sept. That first number was 24.1 - yikes! In Oct it was 16.6 and in Nov (just last week) it was 17.1. All CD3 numbers. My estrogen bounces around and is quite low this cycle. Also, I only had 6 antral follicles last cycle and even worse, 5 this month. Oh, and my AMH levels are low at 4.5. All told, I'm in a diminished ovarian reserve situation, and likely pre-menopausal.

My fertility dr does not recommend DHEA. It has fallen out of favour everywhere in Ontario. Too many adverse side effects, and not enough truly positive studies. As my dr. explained, it doesn't seem to produce better quality eggs. Instead, in Ontario anyway, Co-enzyme Q 10 (CoQ10) is recommended, at a whopping 800 mg/day (400 mg in each of morning and night). It is a powerful anti-oxidant that they have seen some positive results in for lowering fsh levels and for helping to "buff and polish" the quality eggs you have left.

I started acupuncture aslo in late September, 1x/week and this cycle I'm doing two a week. We'll see, but honestly, it's all pretty discouraging.

This is a great forum with a lot of very knowledgeable women on it. Do your research and keep your spirits positive.

    Good luck
    Tamara

I'm in Canada too -- Winnipeg, to be exact. I'm 29, have been TTCing for 3 years, and have never seen a positive pregnancy test.

I was just diagnosed this fall with a CD3 of 14.4 and when I did another CD3 in November to confirm the diagnosis, it came back at 13.8, so I just finished a Clomid challenge to see how I respond to drugs. We'll make a plan in January but after giving me the diagnosis, my RE said adoption was our best option considering my age, so I don't know what kind of plan that will be. If the one crappy clinic in Winnipeg is not responsive to me doing IVF here, I will go to Calgary.

    Good luck!

Tamara43 and JL thank you for your replies, believe me i am trying everything now bc i do not want to give up on using my own egg. this forum is excellent bc you hear a lot of successful stories. The clinic that i went to it is big and well know and i heard when you go to big clinic they wont help you bc they do not want their your IFV or IUI failure to ruine their stats so they decide to not even help and will give you one option only.

i will copy and past the list of doctore that i got from this site that are High fsh friendly, i contacted some but most need a consultation by phone and you have to pay them.. or i have to go visit. some in canada and some in US.
first this is what i heard about DHEA medhelp forum is helpful as well there is so many ladies similar to our situation.

High FSH and DHEA - Pregnancy 35+ - MedHelp

Older Women Pregnancy and Premature Ovarian Failure

YouTube - High FSH Miracle Baby!

Ryan, Dr. Eddy at Toronto West Fertility Associates in Toronto, Canada.

Soliman, Dr. Samuel at NewLife Fertility Centre in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Where Can I Find a Doctor? | High FSH Info

Both your FSH is not extremly high mine last a year and half ago was 6! and the only reason i did it bc my period was spotting for 2 days before i get it anyhow i discovered i was under soooo much stress but once i got married and settled down everything went back to normal no more brown spotting for 2 to 3 days b4 my cycle. but since we are TTC i went to the clinic and tested it was 38 on CD4 !! i know they say do not test on CD4 Bc result wont be the same However she did not give me the chance to re-do my test.. but i started buying organic food, i will start accupuncture or yoga and MAYBe use what you told me Co-enzyme Q 10 (CoQ10) i heard a lot about it too... can i get it over the counter here in quebec ( i live in montreal). so when i go to a pharmacy i will tell them i want Coq10 or co-enzyme q 10?

watch that Youtube it is very intersting:

    YouTube - Pregnancy After 40

YouTube - Fertility Drugs? Natural Way To Increase Fertility

we do not have to buy the suppliment but you can follow with the natural food or viteman that they listed..

JL You are still toooooooo young do not go to adoption or DE yet!!! try to follow a healty diet do some accupunture etc.. where in canada do you reside? we all know that FSH fluctuate and hopefully you will get your POSITIVE TEST ONE DAY SOON...I HEARD clomid spike up your FSH so if you have HIGH FSH to start with it is not good to take it. my FS said if i give you any of the treatments it will make it way worse, natural way you have better chance.. so that is why i am going to try to tak any viteman suppliment that helps and try to c if i can reduce it again..i kwow when i had it at 6 i was more active and i was less in Kilo wise so no you are too young to consider adoption that is my personal opinion... go to medhelp and read some of their comments.. about weatgrass .. they say it is good too it will help reduce your FSH as well

Very High FSH - Fertility - MedHelp

Tamara let me know if i should buy it from a pharmacy or i need perscription for it, and JL let me know what part of canada r u from.

I heard there is a place called accubalance in Ontario they helped this women up in the YOUTUBE lowering her FSH which she produced way more follicles hope we all will soon..

    waiting for your replies

Well, i searched and searched i do not know where my long reply vanished I will try to remember everything that i have said to both Tamara and JL.

First thank you so much for both of your reply, i guess not too many girls here from canada.. so that is why not too many girls relpied yet..

Tamara I live in Montreal, Quebec i got the link for the HIGH FSH friendly from other site i will copy the link for you, by the way your FSH is not that high and what you are doing is great... keep it up.i know it does fluctuate bc mine i took it 2 yrs ago after 3 months of weird cycle i was 6 but i guess during the time i took it my cycle was starting to get better again no pre-spotting before i get my cycle... i did not even now about FSH to be honest with you until now..when i tested it was so high which brought me to tears... but i know i wont give up. i heard lots of girls on this forum and on others too use royal jelly in addtion to weatgrass shot to reduce the fsh and to help their eggs.. i will definatly look into the royal jelly and the Co-enzyme Q 10 (CoQ10) WHAT YOU RECOMMENDED.. is it only CoQ10 OR CO-ENZYME is another viteman? how long have you been taking it and what is it exactly for? DHEA i heard it is good one center that they use it for women to reduce their FSH.

i heard that there is place called accubalance for acupuncher it is pretty good.. i wish htey have one here in montreal.. anyway, i will past the link for your to look at..

Where Can I Find a Doctor? | High FSH Info

Ryan, Dr. Eddy at Toronto West Fertility Associates in Toronto, Canada.
Soliman, Dr. Samuel at NewLife Fertility Centre in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

try to contact both but i think i liked soliman better based on his email reply. Also try to contact the center in New york the one they use DHEA for treatments..

Good luck hun and let me know about the viteman that you think are good to reduce FSH how long you have been taking them and if i can get them over the counter in canada or i need prescription.

JL, I am sorry hun, i know how hard and draining it is to try to conceive beleive me.. yes i did get pregnant 7 months ago but i lost it at 12 wks n 2 days after i heard the baby heart beat and that is even worse than anything trust me..
your fsh is not that high, beleive me i will fluctuate, just try to take weatgrass, some viteman that Tamara have listed above adn i also heard that royal jelly is pretty good too.. i think clomid spike up your fsH that is what my RE said .. she told me if she will give me clomid it will worsen my case so she asked me to do what i was doing before and hopefully i get pregannt again naturally..
c 7 months ago i was lighter, healthier so i am trying to go back to excersice mode adn accupunture but it is too expensive here.. $75 a session ouch.. how much is it in ontario? than i am going to buy those vitys you are tooooooo young for a doner egg or adoption plz do not give up yet...you have still too young and you have your age to your side... so keep trying other things check out those links that i added up and you will c that your FSH is not that bad.. some women got pregnant with 30 fsh
i just ordered inconceivable by Julia ... forgot the last name i heard it is a great book..

try to lower your FSH and try other clinic.. try to call both doctore that i listed above they are under the this site for high fsh friendly doctor...

    High FSH Info

keep in touch and waiting for both of your replies

Just a fast note, Tamara does your Fertility doctor told you to take Co Q10 even while you are trying to conceive? I went to the pharmacy to get some and she told me if you are trying to conceive you should not take that i read on the bottle it only said if you are pregnant or breastfeeding do not take it. Plus there is only bottles with 200mg max! how did you get 400 mg?

Gosh it is really sad taht i have to wait forever for my replies to be posted i will try to post the other ones withough the links

JL, Adoption?? Good lord your only 29 and although your FSH is elevated things are not over for you!

hhzz, One of the newer studies says that 600mg of co-Q10 does help with IVF success, also try Vit. D and Wheat grass. I started a list a while back with all the vitamins others were taking, Ill bump it to the top for you.

Are you still getting that notice when you try to post?

thank you Bc-tnahope. no only when i posted to long replies to tamara and JL and i included some links for them to check and to my luck i did not even copy it and pasted on word so i can try it again w/o the links i sent a message to the help on this site hopefully they will check it adn post it.. i feel bad bc it took me so long writing it and i said the same thing to JL ADOPTION when she is only 29! that is crazy..i am 39 and would not do it yet... bc i know i am freaking ovulating and i knwo i have some good eggy in my small ovaries

i swear this forum gave me some streghth back, if you saw me 4 days ago i was crying all day and night and what the doctor told me it got stuck and it kept rewinding in my head.. now reading a lot of the success here it make me feel a little better and hopeful.

co-Q10 600 mg can i take it u think even if i am not planing at that momment IVF or IUI? I mean i am going to follow a good diet of organic food, no processed food unless i had to once a week or a month... my mommy favorite dishes i started my weatgrass shot 2 wks ago.. 1 oz everday it is costly but who cares right..
i wanted to buy some vit but i am scared to conbine so much, i am already taking pre-natel vit (centrum), folic acid prescription, i will add co q10 600MG a day and i will wait for your new list..

    thanks...
