Can i join you ladies?

Hello! I post on FT all the time (mostly in the parenting multiples area) and see your threads and i was hoping to join. My name is Amy and i am 29. I have a 6 yr old DD and twin DS's (9 months). I also have PCOS and insulin resistance. Since delivering the boys, i have been struggling to loose weight. i initially lost all my baby weight but have gained 15 pounds back, not to mention the other weight i wanted to loose before that now i am getting really serious about losing some. Originally my goal was 50 pounds by my bday (march 25) but i have decided that instead my goal is to buy myself a new pair of jeans for my bday in a size.........8. I have NO IDEA how much weight that means but that is what size i was before my kids, so i am going to try to get back there. I hope i can get to know all of you better!

Welcome!!! Sounds like you have a good goal in mind. Just tell yourself you can do this, set small goals, celebrate little victories and you'll get there soon enough!

I'm almost at the 50lb mark, it has taken me over a year, but I have struggled at times, so I could have done it faster, just didn't.

Hi Amy!
I am new on this board too. My goal is to rid myself the extra 35 lbs that TTC and stress (aren't those one and the same?) have helped me add. I also have PCOS and insulin resistance. My realistic goal is to be down at least 10 lbs before January and to keep losing until we are allowed to TTC again. While stimming I am going to try and maintain.

Are you following any particular program or diet? Right now I am working on adding exercise and cutting out the unhealthy snacking, then in a week or two plan to start counting ww points.

Exactly, the same here. It took me 6-8 months (if I remember correctly) to lose 30 pounds and then lord knows how long for the rest after that. Of course, it's lack of being lazy - summer bbq's and drinking -- -- and NOT trying but now I'm determined more than ever to get there. My goal is 50 pounds but I will probably aim for maybe 10 more pounds and go from there. It's been awhile since I've been small and I'm not sure what I want my goal weight to be. WW has me at 155 pounds and I'm well below that (this is my personal goal).

Good luck, you CAN do it. Take it one day at a time, one pound at a time!! We ALL have a days ~ just jump back in and start over.
