Another reason not to like drinking water!

This is so sad & scary, but here is another reason why I don't drink water!! This occurred in the town next to where we live, and the water that we drink!

From NJ 12 News:

Body of missing woman found in tank at Totowa water treatment plant
(02/09/05) TOTOWA - Investigators have found the body of a woman who went missing Tuesday at the Passaic Valley Water Treatment Plant in Totowa.
Police officials say Geetha Angara, a 43-year-old mother of three from Holmdel, was found in a 35-foot water tank at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police have not ruled out foul play, but authorities say the death may be accidental. Angara worked at the plant as a chemist.

Authorities spent the day Wednesday scouring the plant after Angara’s co-workers reported her missing Tuesday evening. Those who worked with the deceased woman say they last saw her getting ready to calibrate a machine at the facility before she disappeared.

As a precaution, there is a boil water advisory in effect for parts of Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris and Hudson counties.

This morning we had to activate the phone chain for school to tell everyone to send bottled water for their kids because the fountains have been shut off. They need to turn off ALL the water. I told my DD not to wash her hands either, sending antibacterial wipes with her!!

Bottled water in the store would have been bottled elsewhere and even if locally, would have been way before the woman fell in (or whatever). Anyway, they were just worried about the contamination from when her body went in which was Tuesday night.
