Question about motive (end of book spoiler)

I'm listening to the book on audio with DS as we are in the car and it is funny how you can pick up on things listening that you have read over. Anyway...we were listening to chapter entitled "the lightning struck tower" and we actually went back and listened again as Dumbledore is talking to Malfoy. It hit me that Dumbledore revealed something about Snape to Malfoy that could very well endanger Snape's position as a double agent. He goes on and on about how he trusts Snape and how he is positive Snape is on his side. Why would Dumbledore insist on revealing that information when Draco could very well take it back to Voldemort and Snape could end up dead? I understand the "surface" motive that he was trying to encourage Draco to come over to the good side and using Snape as an example. But...it still seems like a VERY risky move to make. What do you think?

Maybe Malfoy still thinks Snape is fooling Dumbledore?! So it didn't seem too odd to him. Snape is playing both sides the same way?! Not sure...

It didn't seem risky to me simply because anyone else would think that what Dumbledore thought of Snape was his own blind trust for someone who had fooled him. Which, is what Malfoy thought.
