Question on the first part of the book?

I am not through the book yet - only about 3/4 the way through. but I keep thinking back to the beginning of the book where the the new minister of magic visits the prime minister....what is the significance to that? is it revealed at the end somehow?

Hi Dawne, I think that mentioning it just related to past books (Prisoner of Azkaban comes to mind in particular) where they talk about how the muggle world is effected by the wizarding world. I figured it was either a follow up the author felt needed to be clarified or she's setting us up for something more. I guess you just never know with her, do you? I'd completely freak out if anything in my office did...you know what!

Man, I think it would be SO helpful if someone from "the other side" popped in via the Golden Gate Bridge pic in my office and gave me a heads up from time to time!

LOL NL! After reading the first book, I called my mom and pretended to be very angry with her for not sending me to Hogwarts. Had her worried for a second, but it was really very funny! I suppose your right...a little warning or nudge now and again would be helpful!
