Hello again from Amazon.com.

We wanted to let you know that an earlier e-mail message you received from us regarding your order for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" was sent to you in error. We sincerely apologize for the concern we caused with this incorrect message, and hope you will be thrilled to know that we've begun preparing your order for shipment and we are confident that it will be delivered on Saturday, July 16.

Most books will be delivered by U.S. Mail, either with your regular mail delivery or in a separate, special mail delivery. Some orders may be delivered by UPS.

You should have your copy (or copies) of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" in your hands no later than 7:00 p.m. (in your time

zone) on July 16. Because our carriers are delivering hundreds of thousands of books on that day, we do ask that you wait until 7:00 p.m. before contacting customer service if you haven't received your order.

Although we're not requiring a signature, we still recommend that someone be home to accept the package (wizard attire is not required), as the driver may not leave it on your doorstep if they don't feel it's safe to do so.

Again, we apologize for the error that caused us to send you an incorrect message.

At least you got that e-mail. Here's mine . . . "We're working hard to make sure you get your order as quickly as possible. However, please note that we can't guarantee that your book(s) will be delivered on July 16."

What's the sense of pre-ordering an item if it's not going to be delivered on the day it's supposed to be. If I wanted to wait until Monday for delivery I would have saved the shipping and handling fees!!! Sorry had to vent.

I went to Amazon to track my package and it was sent on the 13th! And is in my area now! So I will have it on Saturday morning! YEAH! (or at least I am hoping!)

That was the email I first got, so I'll bet yours was in error too!

I would hate to be working mail delivery that day... ugh!

I got the confirmation call from my bookstore that my copy is in and waiting for me!

Dh came home and said it's not midnight our time, but LONDON time...that way everyone can have their copy at one time (assuming stores are open everywhere)... have you guys heard of this? If it's true, I might try to get a copy earlier... hee hee...

Amy, our stores all have signs up that say it is at midnight the books will be handed out. And I know our Walmart also has signs up saying book available at midnight.

You are right Amy....I think it is a world wide release...the release time where I live is 8.30am Saturday morning, in the East of Australia it is 9.00am. We are 8 1/2 hours in front of London. Guess I won't have it any earlier than Christine after all
