More characters to die??

Hi there

JKR has indicated that there will be more deaths of important characters in the next 2 books.

I wonder who it's going to be?

I also wonder if Sirius really did die in OotP, and what really is lurking behind that veil?

Any ideas??

I wondered about that wih Sirius. I always kinda figured he may have been "warped" to another place or time.

I hope Hagrid isn't one of the ones doomed to die! I just LOVE him!

I still don't really believe that Sirius is actually "dead", he will be back in one form or another.

No idea who gets killed off next book....I also hope that it is not Hagrid....maybe Lucius Malfoy...now that would be good

Wow, that would open up a lot more between Draco & Harry, wouldn't it? If both lost their 'dads'...more of a blood feud.

I think Lupin, sadly, will be killed off. Too much coincidence that Wormtail has a SILVER hand...

I have heard talk that Dumbledore might die too...tho that would be SO sad.

Yeah, I'd be pretty devistated if Hagrid died.

I think it would be a great plot development if Lucius Malfoy was killed -- especially if Harry was involved. Doreen's right -- it could really make things interesting between Harry & Draco.

I think Dumbledore HAS to die in order to bring things to a head. There have been too many comments throughout the books that "everything will be all right as long as we have Dumbledore." We need to see what happens if he's NOT there. Plus, doesn't the mentor always die in great literature, thus clearing the way for the student to realize his/her full potential?

Hmm, I would hate to see Dumbeldore killed off. I want him to be there when Harry finally beats V, so D can finally tell Harry everything he's ever wanted to know w/o having to be careful of V finding something out. Besides, he's such a figure in Harry's life, and he's already lost his parents, Sirius (maybe), etc. Enough already!

Can't they just kill of McGonagall cause she's old and we wouldn't miss her too much. Aww, I don't want Dumbledore to go, but it probably makes sense that he would.

That's kinda what I've heard kicked around. That Dumbledore's death will make way for Harry to defeat Voldemort. In OoP, Dumbledore tells Harry that the prophesy dictates that he has to kill Voldemort or be killed by Voldemort...no way around that.

It is rough tho, seeing Harry lose any father-figures he might have in his life.
