You know Christine....I still reckon it's Neville Yes I'm like a dog with a bone on that one

I voted for Seamus though because DS and I had a big discussion the other day and we both think if it's not Neville it will be Seamus.

Then again the new character could be it, but do you think JKR will introduce more and more characters....it's all way too much for my poor ol brain to process

It's all getting way too exciting for us

Sorry for the barge, but anything HP, and I cannot resist!

I think it would be Godrick Gryffindor. We don't know his lineage, and in Book 2, Dumbledore tells Harry only a true Gryffindor would be able to pull the sword out of the Sorting Hat.

What if Gryffindor is somehow or the other related to Harry (who is also a half blood)?

This is an interesting idea. I didn't know that book 2 was seting up for HBP. We have also been debating about Hagrid (my personal favorite character) that would be cool if it was him. Wouldn't the Malfoy family have a cow over that one!

For all you Harry Potter fans my ds loves the web site Mugglenet.com. He says it's the best Harry Potter site.

I guessed Malfoy. Rowling likes twists!

Also, FYI...Ronen is pulling together a board for us on the bookclub board for Harry Potter and there will be a PreRelease chat. Keep your eyes open for announcements. The book club boards are located under the Community Forums. It's not up yet but I am hoping for this weekend.

If it were Malfoy i think that would be fabulous. Would love to hear him being called "half blood"
But i truly don't think it's him...
I really have no clue but hope it's not someone like Dean or Seamus.
After reading about book 2 i'm thinking maybe i need to be rereading that one instead of book 4 & 5.

I know Neville is supposed to be pure-blooded, but there's always such a thing as an unexpected twist--and Rowling seems to take such delight in those. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
