kind of disappointed - no spoilers

not in the book, I loved it. but I feel like there is less to talk about after this book. so much of the discussion after the previous books revolved around, "what does this mean?", "how is he going to find the horcurxes?", "what couples are going to get together?"

Now we know all the answers. There is just not as much to dissect now. and its over. there will never be another one to look forward to.

I know, it is so sad. I miss them already.

I think I will go back and reread them all in a row from the beginning now, just to prolong it. (NOT straight through while ordering takeout for my family, however, which is how I spent Saturday!)

I had very mixed feelings about reading this one. I wanted to know what happens, but didn't want to find out and didn't want it to end.

My dh wondered to himself what the next "Harry Potter" book frenzy would be as well. And, I'm kind of sad too that this book is the final one.

Have any of you read Eragon or Eldest? I read Eragon before the movie came out. The book was much better than the movie. But I have to admit, there were so many similarities to Lord of the Rings, etc. But, it was interesting nonetheless. I've been anxious for the author to publish the 3rd book!

Magnolia,

I've read both of those books. The movie was so completely different from the books. The books are very mature, so much complicated subject matter. But the movie was just pg and so watered down.

Did you read the author's bio? He wrote Eragon when he was 15 years old. I'd already read the book before the bio...I had no idea such a complex vocabulary had come from a kid.

Any word when the final book will be out? I'm waiting....
