In a joking manner, sure. If there is something I want for a large amount of $$$$ (note want, not need) DH will jokingly tell me that a certain favor will make him feel more warm and fuzzy about the purchase but the truth of the matter is, I'd get what I wanted whether he 'got it' or not.
