My 3rd trip to GD..

Hello everyone iam currently 22 weeks pregnant with #3. I had Gestational diabtes with past tow pregnancies.. 1st one was diet controlled and my last pregnancy i had to take insulin. I went for 22 week appointment yesterday and had 500+ sugar in my urine!! So of course i have to take another one hour GTT then will be scheduled a 3 hr GTT depending on one hour results. The said iam prob. starting out right now and should be prepared to be diagnosed again ;-( I am going for nutrition class on 6th of august. I am so discusted to have to go through this all again. I hate not being able to enjoy my pregnancy and eat like normal people do. Iam not an over eater at all althought iam over weight due to thyroid disease as well as PCOS. I just wish for once i could have a normal pregnancy. Soorry to vent my feelings on you gals its just frustrating. Thought i would just stop in and introduce myself since iam sure ill be officially joining the group after test results come back..

Nice to meet everyone
Cindy

I'm sorry to "welcome" you. I am on my first pregnancy and have gestational diabetes. I feel so bad for you, being on your 3rd time around. How frustrating. I have an appointment with a dietician next week. I just bought a blood tester thing. So let the fun begin.

Thanks for the Welcome.. Good luck with your journey. I am just hoping to avoid insulin this time around and controll it with diet. Good luck and yea the finger sticking isnt that bad but after doing it 4 times a day it gets sore. Good luck!
