How many did you transfer if you have a translocation?

My DH has a balanced translocation on 1 and 16. The geneticist believes that it would be very unlikely that an embryo with an unbalanced translocation would make it to a heartbeat because his particular translocation contains a lot of genetic material. We decided to transfer 4 expanding blasts. I am 31 and am being treated with intralipids for immune issues and Lovenox for blood clotting. We did not do PGD.

How many did you transfer if you are dealing with a translocation? How many took? I am hoping for twins but doctor seems to think that I will end up with one.

Hi Andrea -

I'm curious as to what % chance your doctor gave you for transferring 4 embryos? I also transferred 4 on day 5 (2 early blasts, 2 morulas)

I also have NK, MFTHR defect, also did Intralipid. And autoimmune disease, stage IV endometriosis ..

I'm just hoping for a live pregnancy ... singleton or twins. I've also never been pregnant before. My dr. gave us 50% chance with 4. We also did not do PGD. (Sorry, not quite asnwering your question about translocation.)

All the best to you!!
JJ

They don't know. I heard 1/8 with the translocation. Just got very faint line on HPT though.
