Can you help me interpret these results and doctor's advice?

This is actually my first post on FT. I am hoping you all can help me. I am 31 and my DH is 38. We have been TTC since February/March of 2008. I started seeing a well known RE in August. I have never been pregnant, DH has normal SA, my tubes aren't blocked, and I recently had a uterine cyst removed.

After one natural IUI and one Clomid IUI, I moved onto IVF this month. I requested PGD even though the doctor discouraged me because I have no known genetic conditions. However, I wanted to be able to implant the best eggs and know the gender.

They retrieved 12 eggs, 9 fertilized, and were biopsied for PGD on day 3. Unfortunately, out of that 9 only ONE embryo came back normal. Three were trisomies and the five were complex abnormals. They transferred the one good embryo back on a 5dt. However, another doctor in my practice (my doctor was off) told me that I shouldn't have done PGD. He said that my embryos looked beautiful and because I did PGD I had to throw them out. Wouldn't those 8 bad embryos either not implant, miscarry or result in a child with a serious birth defect?

The doctor told me in a harsh way that I SHOULD NEVER do PGD again. I kept asking questions clarifying why and he responded with "that is a long conversation" and "I don't know." I can't understand why the doctor would say that it was a mistake to do PGD. Could any of this have to do with maintaining his clinic's stats? They are currently listed top in the state.

I am so confused!!
