MTHFR and Down syndrome

I just read something about MTHFR being linked to down syndrome. Has anyone ever heard of that?

Lora...I did read that, too...I've found in different readings that MTHFR has found to be connected to higher incidences of Down's syndrome, spina bifida, other neural tube defects, trisomy, miscarriage, stillbirth, implantation failure, placental abruption, preeclampsia, autism, and I'm sure there are others...Many of these studies are not necessarily conclusive, since there are other studies that contradict many of their findings. However, if there is a link in some studies, I definitely believe that it's something to be cognisant of and ensure we are treated and monitored closely. This just reemphasize the importance of treatment. Take care, and baby dust, hon!
