Hashimotos - Normal Levels?

Does anyone have the genetic disease -Hashimotos??

I just found out that I have this BUT all my thyroid levels are within normal range. I have this feeling that his is what is causing a huge problem for us. I've read that just having this disease could mean miscarriages, even with normal levels

Anyone have information that I can use to help us get through this?
I also have a thyroid nodule that is getting biopsied in 3 weeks..praying that is normal as well.

Where do I go from here?

I am going to another endo this week to hopefully get medicine...

HI Jeppy,

I followed all your posts in the MTHFR forum. Can I ask how you were diagnosed with Hashimoto's with normal levels? I am curious as I suspect I may be heading in this direction. I have normal TPO, but higher than normal anti-thryoglobulin antibodies, but normal TSH. I looked at the link the pp posted, and that was helpful, but my levels are not as high as that. I still think it is messed up though. I went to the RE today to discuss MTHFR etc and she brushed me off with the thryoid issue. I disagree. I've never been tested for T3 or T4. I have had seven failed early pg's.

Any advice appreciated.

Winterleaves - Sorry to hear about your losses. Here is the testing that I have been through that has got me to this point. Re said to test for genetics and immune issues...the MTHFR was one of the tests. I feel you should have this done cause it will help to decide if you need a blood thinner...sounds like you should already be taking something in the future because of the higher antibody anti-thryoglobulin.
When it comes to the Hashimotos...this is another word for thyroid antibodies....this is a simple blood test they can do. I would go to a reproductive endo or a endo specialist and have them run this antibody test along with a FULL thyroid panel. YES_ TSH is the most important, but to get a normal T3 and T4 is important for you overall.

I hope this helps and you get these checked.
I will not be on any thyroid meds cause my levels are normal so there is nothing I can do about Hashimotos..O one more thing. When you do get pregnany again, if you have Hashimotos they should check you every month cause it can throw off your levels. Look into a thinner such as Levonox, Heparin or Baby Aspirin for your next cycles.
