PGD success stories with Balance Translocation (BT)

Hi,

In my current pregnancy, my baby is diagnosed with Trisomy 9 syndrome. we went for our karyotyping test to make sure if me or DH is a carrier of BT or this was a random issue.

My results came back with BT of No. 4 and No. 9, reciprocal BT.

If any of you have heard or had successful pregnancies and healthy babies with BT, please share your stories. I would realy appreciate to hear back from anyone.

Thx,
Linda.

Never did IVF and or IVF with PGD but I have BT of 1&2 and I have 2 children (ages 6 & 2.5)conceived naturally and both carried to term. I have had 6+ m/c's with my translocations. My DD is not a carrier of the translocation my DS has the same translocation as me.

CdnMom,
I hope you still check this board. I also have a balance translocation of chromosome 1 and 2. I have a 2 yr old son and am trying for baby #2. We've had 3 miscarriages this past year and are considering IVF/PGD, but are wondering if we should give it one last go naturally. I am not sure where your break points are mine are (q32;p25). They pretty much gave us a 1/6 chance of having a healthy baby. Obviously it can be done because I have my son as proof, but I wanted to hear you thoughts.
