    Worrying about EVERYTHING

I am abOut 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and I cannot quit worrying abOut another miscarriage. I lost my baby last August at arOund 6 weeks. I worry about a pulling feeling in my left side a lOt. Today I have a jabbing type pain in my left side, like a cyst pain. I went to the dr. last week and everything looked fine. My blood levels more than doubled week before last. I can't help to be scared from last time, I am expecting another miscarriage. Could sOmeone tell me what pain is normal at this stage? And if you have had a miscarriage, how do you get over the denial of being pregnant? Thanks!

Oh JessB: I can hear that you are just plain uncomfortable and afraid. I can't tell you to stop worrying......It's normal to worry after a m/c. What I can say is that maybe it will help if you picture bathing that bean in happiness hormones (even if you are faking it>>>>). Have you seen your doc about the pain in your side? All I can really do is tell you that you are not crazy!! I wish you sticky vibes and peace of mind!!

I just want this baby more than anything in the world! I went a week ago to the dr and the ultrasound looked fine. I just worry too much and I need reassurance and I can't get them to test my hcg levels again!

    Hey Jess,

Cramps and mild pain are totally normal in early pregnancy. If the pain become intense or if you start bleeding, you should see your doctor right away. Even red bleeding, though, could be normal. Try not to worry. I know it is easier said than done. Big hugs!

Hugs Jess. It is hard to try and move on and enjoy another pregnancy after a m/c. But, you just take it one day at a time and do the best that you can. Both of mine were at around the 10 week mark and both started with light pink bleeding and progressed from there. The first one I had no pain but I did with the 2nd.

With my last m/c in Oct/07, I got pregnant again about 2 mths later. Started bleeding bright red at about 6 1/2 weeks and I was devastated. Turned out to be a small hematoma and baby was fine. Spotted for a few more weeks until it cleared up. As the others have said, some spotting/bleeding is normal but if you have extreme cramps, etc... then see your Dr. right away.

I had my good and bad days throughout the pregnancy. I talked to my little bean and said a prayer every night before I went to sleep to keep he/she safe. It was the only way to cope. My DH was great when I would get discouraged and talk me out of things and as each milestone passed, 12 weeks, NT scan, 20 weeks, viability and into my last month, I finally started to relax somewhat. Then you worry when they aren't moving enough etc.... It's an emotional roller coaster being pregnant, especially after a loss.

All I can say is to breath, one day at a time, talk to your little one, say a small prayer and try to relax as much as you can. Hugs. And also, joining one of the due date boards here and talking with other ladies going through the same emotions, etc... really helps.

Thanks I had the worst dream the other night! We were at our 1st appointment and the heartbeat was very slow and my dr. started explaining how I was going to pass the baby at home!! I woke up so upset, thank God my husband is staying positive. I am having a lot of nausea and getting sick (which I look forward to lol). Does that mean everything is fine and baby is growing? I have all symptoms except urinating more. Thanks ladies!

I'm sure everything is fine. Some women get nausea and some women don't. I had no nausea with any of my pregnancies, including the 2 miscarriages. Keep us updated hun.

"Period" symptoms are totally normal in early pregnancy. I'd take the nausea as a good sign. Hang in there, Jess!
