When did you have sex again after a FET?

Hi All, I'm 6 weeks 3 days along after having done a FET, and just wanted to see when everyone was told they could resume normal activities, including lifting other children and having sex. Thanx!!

Our RE gives the go ahead after the second positive beta if it is rising appropriately. Did with dd and again with this one and no problems. I know some REs make you wait until after the sono, though.

Thanx Kell! I have one more questions for you (and anyone else who would like to respond), what about lifting??? I made the stupid mistake this morning of lifting a bag (a paper bag) of apples, and it was probably heavier than I should have lifted. Now I'm worried. The dr. told me yesterday I could lift up to 50lbs...I'm not sure how heavy this bag was. :/

I guess you feel up to it, you could have sex. I had a fresh cycle of IVF; it took me a long time to get back to normal. I was so bloated + the PIO shots... but I think the "rule" after you see a heartbeat...

Heather--I am trying not to lift anything heavier than my dd (she is 25 pounds). Just not worth the risk.

With both of my pregnancies we were back in the game (with the OK from my RE) the day we got a positive beta. I also waited until I got a positive beta before I lifted my daughter (who is, I don't know, 30+ lbs).

I think it comes down to what you are comfortable with and what your RE says. I'm glad my RE was all for us getting back to it ASAP! Some women just don't feel comfortable and wait until after the 1st u/s or even until after the 1st trimester.

DH and I just had sex for the first time this morning. We had our FET on Oct. 1 and got our second positive beta yesterday. My RE told me that I could 3 days after my FET but we used caution and waited it out.

Our RE told us no sex until he confirmed an intrauterine pregnancy & saw the heartbeat (a.k.a first ultrasound). I had my first ultrasound at 6w3d. But the day after our 1st ultrasound I started to lightly spot (brown) and of course, panicked... so we were asked to abstain until the spotting stopped.

Our RE told us we could anytime after the transfer and that it wouldn't make a difference in outcome. We waited a couple weeks until my ovaries weren't the size of grapefruits. We are pregnant with beta number one at 227, number two at 570. I'm just wondering though... Maybe TMI, but is there a limit to the number of O's that are safe? we have first US in 3 weeks. Thanks ladies!
