Hi ladies! I've finally made my way to this forum! I'm roughly 5 weeks pregnant and feeling a little bit of nausea between meals, but nothing much at all. Is it still too early for me to have morning sickness? At this point I was expecting to have thrown up at least once....but so far nothing...which is great....but I'm wondering when it will start. Can anyone share their experiences with morning sickness and when it starts?
Thanks in advance!![]()

Congratulations on your BFP! Some people, myself included, never get morning sickness and some just have the minor bouts of nausea that you're describing. In general, I think the worst of morning sickness usually occurs a bit later than you are right now...more like 9w or so. But, as I'm sure you have seen, everyone seems to experience symptoms differently so it is really tough to predict. Good luck and congratulations again.

My morning sickness started when I was 5 weeks, and it was pretty bad until about 7 weeks. I really only had nausea, but I threw up once while brushing my teeth. I thought it was over, but this morning after I ate I had a little nausea. I am 8wks5dys.

My nausea started at about 4 weeks and I've had it everyday to some degree since then (I am now 11 weeks). It gets better then worse and there is no pattern to it other than it seems to be worse in the evenings for me. The worst time for me was between 7 and 10 weeks. I hope you are one of the lucky ones that just won't get it.

Mine started at about 5 1/2 weeks--nausea most of the day every day, no vomiting yet and I'm 10 1/2 weeks with a healthy singleton. I was initially pregnant with twins and "they" say it has something to do with HCG levels produced by (each) placenta, "they" also say it can be a sign of a healthy pregnancy so take comfort in that. As Leslie said, the whole "morning" thing is a misnomer. Mine is worst in the afternoon/evening.

I started at about 6 weeks just feeling like I was sick, and wishing I would get sick. Allll day long. I had to munch constantly when I didn't want to munch. Ritz and cheddar cheese were my saviors. I haven't had any since about 15 weeks when the nausea pretty much subsided, one of my all time favorite snacks too!
Now I just have to be careful for smells. We have a trash can for doggie clean up and I pulled the bag today 'cause it was trash day. I ended up retching. The other thing that is really bad is driving past dumps. I have to concentrate really hard on NOT getting sick. My sister claims this will last 'til the end. Hope it goes away when we have to deal with dirty diapers!!!
