    Couples/Co-Ed Shower Invite Wording? Help!

For anyone having (or who has had) a co-ed/couples baby shower, any suggestions on invitation wording?

    And and all help appreciated.

This will likely be a brunch or afternoon open-house sort of thing, with few (or no) traditional shower games or antics; it will be more socializing.

Thanks in advance for any help, pointers or suggestions.

    -Tia

I think Id say what you said

Please Come Celebrate with us the coming birth of our child.
    Date, time, location
open house, brunch will be served, mingling with friends no party games
    Couples invited.

    somthing like that??
not calling it a "shower" will help I think the men not feel silly about attending.

    Hi Tia!
We are also having a Co-ed baby shower. The invitations that I bought asked for the the day, date, time, and RSVP. I just wrote in there "Couples Baby Shower". Ours will be an open house too. I doubt if we will have any games, maybe a door prize but that will probably be all. Good Luck to you and congrats on planning your shower!

I'm not having a couples shower, but I have thrown 2 of them before for friends. I just made sure on the invite that both names of the couple were included, and we also used word-of-mouth to be sure that the men knew that they were invited too. The suggestions on the pp were really good as well.

I always heard it referred to as a Jack and Jill shower.
    Like,

You are invited to So and so's Shower.
This will be a Jack and Jill, so feel free to bring along your Jack (or your Jill)

Open house, from 12-5, feel free to stop by and have a refreshment,
stay or leave, up to you...

This was the best shower I ever attended!

Ours has both our names and all the couples names are on the front.
So, there wasnt anyting really stated about it being a couples shower. Just like wedding invites.. list whom you want to come on the outside!!

PLUS... its all hubbys family and I dont know them all that well.. so he HAS to be there to make sure I know who everyone is! hehehe!

I recently threw a co-ed shower and we said,

Jack and Jill are expecting a baby boy!
Please join us for a co-ed shower in their honor
    Sunday, Date, Time
    ETC.

I found invitations on www.finestationary.com that had a pregnant lady and a man standing next to her so it worked out well.

I'm not a shower game person, but we played a shower game of having the men try to drink 2 ounces of gatorade from a baby bottle and everyone got really involved and it was very funny.

We also played a husband and wife type family feud and the person who won got tasked with opening the next present.
