Pregnancy symptoms gone at 8 weeks, I thought they'd be around until 12 weeks...

Is anyone else worried because symptoms arrived and disappeared earlier than expected? My 6th and 7th weeks were full of symptoms, I was very tired and had alot of queasiness. The 8th week the nausea almost stopped and although I'm still a bit tired at times, it is nothing like the exhaustion I felt during week 7. My @@ have never really been sore (except during the first few days of PIO), and they don't seem too much bigger than normal. I still have the bloated belly, but I've had that since I was on stims in May. I'm still on progesterone so that is adding to the bloating. I get a bit winded when walking up stairs and such, but that has been going on since the IVF cycle started. Plus I'm not exercising and it's very hot here, which explains alot.

I saw the OB at 9 weeks (7/19) and told her about the lack of symptoms. She went into the other room and got the u/s machine. I don't think she was planning to do an u/s at this appointment, but I think I freaked her a bit when I told her how my symptoms disappeared. The baby looked fine.

Well, it's 4 days later and I'm still worried cuz I feel basically good. I feel fat and out-of-shape, but overall I feel pretty good.

Is anyone else experiencing anything similar? If I didn't have the nausea at 7 weeks, I would not be so worried about the lack of nausea now.

Thanks for any advice...
Hugs,
Basketcase Jackie

The same thing happened to me when I was pg with my ds. I had very little symptoms to begin with (tired and slightly queasy) and they disappeared pretty fast. So far it seems as if it's going to be the same this time around. I know it's a bit disconcerting, but try to be happy that you are one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to suffer.

you could just be one of the lucky ones who has sporadic symptoms, as opposed to a constant everyday thing. although they usually do hang around until the end of the first trimester, it stands to reason that if they were mild to begin with, they may subside easier.

I'm only 7w 2d, but I hardly have any symptoms and haven't from the beginning, my boobs have been sore, but even those are worse some days then others, I don't feel a thing, besides slight cramping off and on during the day I don't get sick, and I'm tired, but I don't know if that's because of my severe cutback on caffeine (I'm a caffeine junkie, lol) or the pregnancy, but I know what you mean, the symptoms give you that sense of hope I guess that everything's still going how it should be, I know this sound silly but I'm constantly checking my boobs to see if they're still sore. I guess that's a side effect of going through fertility treatments.

Thanks for the comments, they make me feel better. Especially Meredith's; I was hoping someone would say "the same thing happened to me when I was pregnant with my DS (or DD)"
Thanks again!

I completely understand. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I had all of the classic pg. symptoms from week 6-8, I would still have the occassional bought of fatigue and my bb's were a bit sore but nothing more than when I was on stims and first started PIO. I know it is hard to relax (believe me) but I'm sure your little one is doing just fine. I'm now heading into my 13th week and my little bean is doing great. Sending gentle hugs and hoping you can find a way to let some of your anxiety go.

XOXO
Tricia
