Morning Sickness Theory

Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this theory regarding morning sickness?

According to a nurse that my sister is friends with pregnant woman usually only get m/s if their blood type is different than the bio fathers blood type?

Is this true?

nope...never heard of that one. i've heard m/s theories according to gender, but never between the parents blood type. also....the odds are very likely that the moms and dads blood type will be different since there's a number of blood types with various combos...so that would mean most women would have m/s. maybe you should test drive the theory with as many people as you can ask. or even go throw the question out there on some of the parenting bbs where you could get a lot of feedback...

Nope! Never heard that one before! I'd prove it wrong (or at least be the exception) anyway. My dh & I have different blood types. I had absolutely no m/s with my first ds. This time I've had tons!!! I'm 33w5d & I still have m/s. They both have the same daddy, so that can't be the explanation for me!

That theory doesn't hold true for us - different blood types and no m/s here!

Another theory I heard is that m/s is really your body tellling you that you are dehydrated, and you need to drink more water. My sister-in-law swears by this. Unfortunately it's difficult to keep even water down when you are 'hurling'.

Seems like there's no rhyme or reason to m/s. My blood type is the same as my DH's, and I have m/s. However, it has been pretty mild, despite the fact that I'm having twins - so who knows!

Had none with dd#1, and ex and I had the same blood type. Have HORRIBLE m/s this time, and donor and I have different types. So, who knows...
