33 Weeks and having lots of menstrual cramps

I've been having menstrual cramping everyday, usually first thing in the morning. OB knows and didn't say much at last appt.l But today I have been have very strong menstrual type cramping on and off all day. I've been drinking loads of water but it doesn't help. No other PTL signs. Is this normal at33 weeks?

I get crampy sometimes too. I usually try a warm bath and some tylenol if just drinking more water doesn't help. I think it just the uterus getting toned up for birth.

i remember the last 4-5 weeks of pg were always very crampy. if you ran it by your doc and he's not concerned, i wouldn't worry about it. it's the body's way of stating to prepare for labor. your body might be working on trying to dialate a little.

if there seems to be any consistant pattern to the cramps or any other add'l labor symptoms, then i would call your doc. if not, just try and keep yourself as comfortable as possible.

Sometimes I get crampy too. I am 30 weeks today. Last night i was having really painful contractions too! I would keep an eye on the cramps you are getting though. THey alone can be a sign of preterm labor. I mean, they are probably not, but if they dont stop or get worse i would get it checked out.

I am 33 weeks exactly and have been getting crampy too. I've had a lot of complications w/ this pg, so i have meds for contraction control, if need be. My dr told me crampiness at this stage is pretty normal and not something to be highly concerned about unless they are consistent (last over an hour), are followed by contractions, back pain (that you didn't have before) or a big increase in discharge. They don't have me taking my meds for crampiness alone.

    Hope this info helps!
