DD has strep. What should I do?

Hi All -

I am 5w3d pg. I am considered high risk (mthfr/immune issues). My dd and dh started antibiotics yesterday - dd for ear infection/sinus infection. Wednesday night and Thursday a.m. she had high fever, very lethargic. I looked at her throat this morning (b/c sitter said another child had strep) and sure enough - red throat with the classic white spots. I am 100% sure it is strep. I started to get a stuffy nose, throat is a little red...woke up in the middle of the night last night and was sweating - so not sure if I had a fever or what. I have a call into my RE to see what I should do, but thought I would check with all of you to see if anyone has been through something similar and/or get any suggestions.

Thanks ladies.

oh crap...i'm sorry about your dd and dh being sick. unfortunatly it doesn't sound like there's much you can do at this point. if you do feel like you're coming down with stept tho, i would gett into your doc as soon as possible so they can treat you.

when i was 9w pg with my ds i caught the flu. hadn't had it in years but of course it had to be THAT year i got it. i was running a fever and when it hit 102 i started to panic. i spoke with my OB who told me to just do whatever i could to keep the fever down. so i took tylenol round the clock, used cool compresses, and froze my butt off keeping the clothes light. i was able to keep my fever from going any higher and all was fine.

hope you don't catch it and dd & dh feel better soon
