For the last few weeks I have felt the baby move quite a bit- I am 23w2d. Well, yesterday I didn't feel her at all so I ate an ice cream and nothing, drank OJ and nothing. This morning nothing so I drank some more OJ and I felt one faint move. No movement all day then tonight I drank a coke and no movement. Oh, when I drank a coke the other night she seemed to be doing gymnastics.
Should I be concerned or is it too early for consistent movement? I must admit I am worried
PS I have a doppler and have heard the heartbeat so I know she is alive- but could she be in distress?

i always found the 21w-25w period to be a little frustrating b/c one day they're flipping around and one day they're so still. i distintly remember being alarmed when i was about 22w, but all was fine.
if you have an uneasy feelings at all, then i would urge you to call your OB. the doppler is great, but if it's not easing your mind enough, then call your doc. that's why they get the big bucks
best wishes....Dina

I know that is so scarey! I have this happen too. I also have the doppler and sometimes even though I can hear the heartbeat I worry that the baby is in distress. There are times that I can do everything I have done before to make this baby move and nothing.
I was told by my doctor that this is VERY normal at that stage of pg and that is why they tell you to not even count fetal movements until 28 weeks. If you are still worried then you can call for that peace of mind. Sometimes you just really really need it!

Get the doppler read, you'll feel better once you do.
That having been said, my baby had 3 consecutive quiet days around 22 weeks, whereas before and since she's been a viscious animal. I went to my midwife like 4 times to check the h/b, and it was great. It's probably nothing to worry about. But check anyway!!!

My peri said not feeling regular movement until 26 weeks, give or take, is perfectly normal. However, if you're worried, absolutely call and ask them to do an u/s scan to ease your mind. There were days throughout my pg that I got quite worried about the lack of movement, and was always told by my peri that if I needed some kind of reassurance to call them any time!

I was always told to call if movement changed. Call the doc to get reassurance. Please keep us posted.

You are still early enough in your pregnancy to have irregular movements however, there is no crime in going to the OB for a check-up...none at all. If I were you I would go and check, just to put your mind at rest and lower your stress levels

I stop feeling movements of my DD at 36 weeks, went to the hospital for a check-up and she was delivered via emer c/s with a general anaesthetic one hour later. If had not listened to my body, I am not sure the outcome would have been as positive as it has been.
Sorry if I have alarmed you, but I just wanted you to know that you must listen to your body. I am sure your little one is just having a little quiet period
Hugs
Karen

If you still haven't felt anything after 2 days I would certainly call the OB. It's proabably nothing but it will put your mind at ease.

I was told not to expect consistent movements until 28 weeks or so. I did freak out around 23weeks or so for the same reason, and they brought me in to do an u/s--there was my little guy moving away and i couldn't feel a thing!
If you are getting a good strong h/b, i wouldn't worry about it.April
