Parenting After Loss

What should I be feeling like at 11 weeks?
I guess I'm freaking out a bit.. With DD I remember being nauseous but not for long, only throwing up a few times..and exhausted, with DS I remember being sick early in the morning until about 10-11 and then fine the rest of the day but for just a few weeks but can't remember at how many weeks I stopped being sick.. and it seemed to me that the m/s gradually stopped not suddenly stopped... I don't remember feeling crampy or pulling sensations with either of them but that was 5 and 6 years ago.. I do remember craving like crazy with both of them.. with the m/c I had no symptoms at all. With this one I found out at 3 1/2 weeks that I was pg and wasn't feeling anything but sore boobs ( something I didn't have with my first two) and started getting sick around 5 weeks all day long.. and last week
( week 10) was the worst.. so sick.. I only lost about 3-4 lbs with the first two.. this time I've lost 10.. and exhausted.. but I woke up Monday morning and I felt fine.. no m/s.. not tired at all, in fact had energy.. and now I'm worried that it suddenly stopped like that. I haven't felt crampy or twingy at all ( except in December when I was only a week or two pg) and haven't really been moody at all. Something just doesn't feel right... I'm also able to fit into my size 6 jeans.. just have to unbutton the top button and I was already quite big with the m/c at 7.5 weeks when I miscarried.. having to wear maternity clothes then.. and here with my 4th pgny I'm in a size 6 with the button undone? I don't get it.. I know I'm rambling but what should I be feeling at 11 weeks? TIA

I don't know, but it sounds to me like you're having more of a text book pg...starting to feel better around 12 weeks.
Hang in there!

Arrgggg. I just posted to you and it dissapeared!!!
okay here i go again. lol You can compare pregnancy cause they can all be so different. With my dd i was sick my WHOLE pg. It was horrible! This pg I am sick too even at 24 weeks but not as bad. Maybe its the meds! I was still wearing my reg clothes at 11 weeks with both and even at 16 weeks with this one i was. I thought I would be out of them sooner this time around. My doc told me to not compare my pg with anyone or with my first cause they can be totally different. It is just so hard to not worry!!!! |

I have had two previous early miscarriages, and now my third pregnancy. (27 weeks) All three pregnancies came with their own set of symptoms and felt different from each other. I would guess the lack of crampy/pulling sensation is maybe due to the fact after so many pregnancies your uterus is alot more relaxed this time around and probably started off larger. However, just JUST to get some reassurance, I would call your ob and maybe she'll get you in for a U/S or maybe invest in one of those home dopplers (I've heard hte expensive, rented kind like at babybeat . com are the best)
I know how hard it is to shake that awful feelign that something is wrong. I had an U/S once a week from week 6-12 and another one at 15 weeks and before each one I was convinced I would be told no heartbeat. My heart would race and I could feel myself building up emotionally getting ready to hear bad news right before every appt. I hated the drive to my RE's office!!!!!!!!!! Luckily everything with this pregnancy seems to be miracuously going normal, which almost feels weird to me sometimes! Hang in there, I know its hard and you really don't have long at all before you get to that wonderful 2nd trimester!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I wish I knew better what to tell you Crystal, but this is the first time I have made it past 11 weeks, myself.
I can tell you how I have been feeling though. I used to feel a slight nausea (never any fullblown m/s, thank goodness), but haven't felt any of that in the past week or so. My fatigue now comes and goes, I actually have days again where I get up and have some energy and get some things accomplished! My breasts are very rarely sore anymore. I DO still have terrible indigestion and constipation, no matter what I eat. I also am still wearing my normal clothes, mainly my "loose" ones, some with the button undone. Somedays, these days, if it weren't for my BabyBeat with which I can listen to both little heartbeats whenever I want, I have a hard time fathoming I am pregnant at all! So I understand where you are coming from, completely. When is your next appointment? And may I stress that I SOOOO recommend that BabyBeat? It is my reassurance, my peace of mind, my most prized possession at the moment. (www.babybeat.com) Hang in there. Ten to one all is just fine, inside. ![]() Tanja
