No, I don't, but I know a little about it. I'm surprised you are checking here--I thought Turner's caused ovarian/uterine failure in 100% of people with the "disorder." Is that not true? I'm interested!

I do not have it but I too understood it to cause sever reproductive problems. There was a baby in the NICU with it when my grils were born several years ago. She had a very severe case of it, the nurses let me read the "clinical description" that had been given to them by one of the doctors. They had the baby in the NICU for the required 72 hours so the little girl would receive the state funded NICU follow up program & be eligible for services....that was one of the things that made me love my hospital & peri practice...

hi

most turners babies that are born live normal happy healthy lives with very little complications except fertility problems and shortness of stature, 10% to 20% can have children on there own, must do have problems having children thought. most turners women do not have there own eggs.

however, with ivf and donor eggs some are able to carry a child on there own. there are a lot of unanswered questions and a lot of research that needs done.

my husband and i went through ivf last april, unfortunately, i miscarried at 6 weeks. it was found that i had some blood clotting issues.

thanks for replying

No, thank you. I teach special education, and try to keep current on information regarding various disorders and disabilities. Although Turner's is not associated with cognitive delay, I did serve a student one who had both Turner's and a cognitive delay due to maternal alcohol and drug abuse (thanks mom!).

Good luck on your pregnancy quest!

Hi (again) :)

I know we spoke on the other boards, but I thought I'd say hi again.

My IM said she's going to try to get in touch with you but I don't know when that will be.

Have you found anyone else with Turner's?
