Please help with BETA numbers

Hi-

Could you please help me with these numbers?

12dp3dt 65
14dp3dt 154
16dp3dt 402
19dp3dt 7763.4

I don't know what all that means but it certainly went up!!

estradiol is 2370.5
progesterone is 225.19 these are 19dp3dt
Anyone know what these numbers mean?

There certainly was a jump between the 16th and 19th (80 hrs) numbers. Any ideas why? Is it possible for the numbers to double to fast?

TIA

I myself have never heard of numbers doubling too fast. Maybe you were a slow/low starter?

Congratulations on a very strong last beta number there! When will you have your first u/s ?
As you can see from my beta numbers for this pregnancy in my signature, my last number was very similar to yours at 20dp3dt. My E2 and Progesterone numbers were about the same as yours as well. Big advantage was that I got to stop the PIO shots right away, wheeeeeee!
So, maybe you will find two little sacs as well?

Thank you Tanja and congratulations with your twins!

My u/s isn't until the 22nd although I could get one anytime between now and then but we would like to see the heartbeats.

We transferred 4 day 3 grown from 2pn.

8 cell 20% frag.
6 cell 10% frag.
4 cell 10% frag.
3 cell 10% frag.

I think we had a late implanter (or two)

If I had the chance, I would go in and do the u/s. You may not see two hbs, but you would see two sacks. I saw them very early on. I'm just curious and would want to know, but that's me. Good luck to you. Let us know what you find out.

Debi:

They say high and quick doubling HCGs are not an indication of multiples but I would guess you will be joining us on the Multiple Pregnancy board. I had numbers like yours and started my preg. with triplets but at 7 weeks one baby had stopped growing already, I was gladly left with two babies that are now 23 weeks and counting.

Good Luck,

bebe

bebe - Thank you for replying. I was concerned about the doubling time as it is every 18.5 or so hrs. up from 34ish.
Congratulations with your twins, I am sorry you lost the triplet. Triplets would scare me I have to admit.

Insurance will only pay for one u/s, if we can get the RE to accept a lower amount, we would cash and have one done now.

Hi Debi-

I'm reading your numbers and I'm confused about mine as well. I got my first beta at 78 - 8dp5dt (found out today!!!) My RE said it's probably one baby. I was pg in Sept. '04 with a first beta of 207 with twins, but lost both heartbeats at 7 1/2 weeks!

It seems that some of the girls are saying that with your numbers you could have twins? Does anyone know if there is any way to have twins with starting at a 78?? Just curious. I'll be thrilled with one, but would like to know if I have a chance!

Thanks, Jen

Hi Jen,

They mentioned twins because of the increase in the last beta. As it turned out there was a lab error-the correct number is 1408.9. So it looks like I am on track after all.

My nurse told me the first beta usually signifies more than one and said that mine being 65 I would more than likely have a singleton.

I am sorry in the loss of your twins-Congratulations, I pray you have a healthy pregnancy and delivery.

When are you due?

Hi Debi-

I think my due date will be Oct. 20th.... just need to confirm if these were 5 or 6 day blast (I think they might've used both, so I'm not sure how that would be calculated since I don't know which one took??). I think it'll either be 10/20 or 10/21.

When are you due??

Wow...... that would've been a huge jump in HCG. I guess the correct number makes a lot more sense!!

I hope you have a wonderful and uneventful pregnancy and delivery as well!!!

Jen

Hi Jen,

I am due 10-10-05 so we are not that far apart in due dates. With my son we did a 5 and 6 day transfer, I chose the date with the 5 day. I suppose because it was a day earlier. lol

Have a great weekend!
