Hi Everyone,
I noticed yesterday when I was giving Lo a bath that there is a little spots along the outside of her thighs, legs, belly and lower back. There are no spots on her inner thighs or diaper area so it's not a diaper rash. Initially, I thought it might be one of those yeasty diaper rash that I read about when a baby has thrush, but it's not.
The red spots look very mild and looks like a rash of some sort. The spots on her legs aren't even red...they're skin color and feel like goosebumps. They're red on her belly, lower back, upper thighs.
I wash all her clothes and linens with a detergent for sensitive skin and she's not had an irritation ever with her clothes. I've been using the same baby bath products since day 1 and never an issue.
Could this be a heat rash? I have her in a onsie and she is swaddled when she sleeps. Her hands and feet are always cold. I don't over dress her or bundle her to death in layers of clothing. Should I just dress her in a little tee and diaper for today - it's warm enough today for that.
The spots don't seem to bother her. Is there something I can do to treat them at home?
Any advice or insight is appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't know, sounds like it could be a mild heat rash. Do you have a service at your ped's where you can talk to a nurse and get her opinion? Mainly wanted to give you a bump.
Are you using Dreft? That's what I use and love that smell! I've got my dds hooked on it too. I think ds couldn't care less. LOLOL

When I first bought detergent, I didn't know about Dreft so I bought this Tide one for sensitive skin, no fragrance, hypoallergenic one. I am waiting to use this all up before buying Dreft. I keep hearing from other mommies on how good it smells so I can't wait to finish this Tide one up. I've been using it for all our laundry so I can finish faster!

I took her temp today to make sure she doesn't have a fever....it's 98.5 F. I think we are ok.

I also called the ped, and she told me to keep any eye on it....make sure to dress her in loose cotton clothing in the meantime and make sure she doesn't sweat too much. She told me there's nothing I can do about it...it will go away.
I feel so bad that she has a rash.

Could be a heat rash, ezcema, I would keep an eye on it. My little guy had ezcema from a baby and our pedi told us to use Oilatum in his bath water. It was amazing. Even now, I use it once in awhile and I only wash him with the Aveeno baby wash Oatmeal one (no fragrance or perfumes) and I also use only the Aveeno Oatmeal cream as well. I have always used the Tide Free (white bottle) with no issues (we don't have Dreft here). I had to stop using any of the baby creams and washes that had fragrances, like the lavendar, etc....

My LOs had something similar when they were very young. I thought they were allergic their bath wash. Turned out to be dry skin. Best of luck to you!

Could be heat rash or eczema. I was gonna suggest NO fragrance. Also I wouldn't do fabric softener either. We were told to do lukewarm baths every other day and hydrate with some fragrance free, paraban free lotion right after. That is what the dermatologist told us. Older DS had very sensitive skin...couldn't use Dreft or Ivory or Tide.
