Any ideas for fourth grade valentine's party craft??? That age is tough :(

I feel like they are a little old to be doing simple crafts (not to mention it's hard to come up with something girls and boys would like). Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Totally agree with Family Fun!! You could also look through the stuff at Oriental Trading company. They often have great kits for very little money.

I agree at that age it's tough. I'm in charge of ours (4th grade) this year and I'm not doing a craft, we're going to play Bingo instead. I'm making cards with messages like you'd see on those candy message hearts and will have several prizes so we can play a few times or until several kiddos win.

Instead of a craft what about icing and decorating heart shaped cookies?

4th grade is hard and I've found they're beyond the crafts and kits. Instead they love the games and prizes. We did a few games at Christmas and will do the same with V-day. I am planning on the bingo game, a jar of kisses (they all guess, closest wins the jar), and lots of treats. Should be fun!

Thanks ladies! I think I will try to propose the game vs. craft. I was late to arrive to the homeroom mom thing this year so not sure where the craft directive came from. If not the heart shaped cookie decorating sounds like a promising compromise (not really a craft but still something to do and not a game). Thanks again!
