It's the first time I ever bought kielbasa to cook! I know I have seen some easy crock pot recipes and I wanted to know which you like.
Thanks

I put the whole sausage in a skillet with saurkraut mixed with thinly sliced onions, apples and caraway seeds and bake it. It is also great with store bought pierogies (especially if you don't have time to make them). They are great just grilled served with potatoes and corn on the grill.

I make this appetizer for parties- cut it up into pieces (circles, not lengthwise); put in crockpot with a cup of ketchup, cup of sugar, and can of crushed pineapple- juice and all. Heat until warm. Always a big hit!

The other nite I cut up Kielbasa, potatoes, green pepper and onion, all chopped up! Mix it all up in a corning ware dish..add whatever spices you want..cook 2 hrs at 350f. Or just add it to your crockpot.
Enjoy!
I actually made home made pierogies for Thanksgiving for me and DH! I love pierogis!! I wish I knew where to buy them down here in So Cal! No such luck!
Or you could put slits in the kielbasa, bbq them or put them in the oven!
Everytime I go back home to Canada I bring loads of good Polish Sausage vaccum packed home with me!! A whole variety!!
I did find down in Holloywood area I think a Russian butcher store..DH will remember more better than me.
Where did you guys buy your Kielbasa??Me 42 DH 51

My Polish sister in law makes a VERY quick and easy and TASTY kielbasa dish. She slices up kielbasa, which is already cooked-- I guess maybe she fries it a little in the pan..... and then she cooks a box of Mrs. T's Pierogies... and a bag of sauerkraut... mix all 3 things together in a big dish... serve. Yummy!

quarter the kielbasa and brown with an onion in a skillet. Add a package of yellow rice and follow the directions on the rice package. We add a datil pepper for spice. My ds will eat this dish 'til the cows come home.

I serve it with boxed mac'n'cheese and fresh steamed broccoli when I'm in a hurry. My favorite is to make cuban black beans and rice, then chop up the kielbasa and stir it into the beans.

I love to cut it up and fry it with some diced onion and green pepper, then mix it in with scrambled eggs, cheese and rice (already cooked). I serve it in soft tortilla shells and top with a little salsa or Frank's red hot sauce. Yes, essentially a breakfast burrito but we eat them for supper all the time. lol
If I'm in a huge hurry or having a lazy night I just cut it into pieces then split the pieces so they'll lay flat in the skillet and fry them, and serve with boxed mac-n-cheese and a vegetable or salad."If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you.
