    Sponge or dish rag?

I just finished doing dishes and was wondering if you use a sponge or dish rag?
I wish i had a dishwasher (no room for one), so washing dishes is not my favorite time of day. I use a dish rag and have several that i wash and rotate.

What do you use and why?

Sponge. I just like the scrubby side on one side and the sponge on the other side. I like to microwave it every few days to kill the germs.

This question was posted several months ago! I don't use either! I use a brush with a handle as I HATE to touch wet, messy, gross food/pans!

A new dish cloth every few days. Sponges are yucky unless you replace them often!

I've always used sponges and honestly, they gross me out! I stick mine in the microwave every so often too, but I still think it's gross! I think I may switch to dish rags, just to see. I'm totally OCD about dishes being dirty in the sink anyway, so no food actually sits and has to be scrubbed off too hard. I think I should buy some SOS pads for the pots and pans, when I need them. That's it... I'm switching! Funny this thread showed up, as this was already on my mind!
