Knee bouncing rhymes-need help remembering words

Do any of you know the knee bouncing rhyme:

Ride the horsey, ride to town, ride the horsey don't fall down

You bounce the baby on your lap while saying it, then at the "don't fall down" part, they do "fall down" by splitting your legs apart or improvising for a smaller baby.

Is that really all of the words to that rhyme? I've asked mom & MIL and they can't remember.

Also, are there other knee bouncing rhymes you all know of?

    Never heard that one.

Here in the Boston area, our little rhyme is "Trot, trot to Boston. Trot, trot to Lynn. Look out _______ or you'll fall right in ". And the kid falls between your legs.

My Mimi used this one (she'd sing it in German):

This is the way the ladies ride: clippety, clippety, clop
This is the way the gentlemen ride: trippety, trippety, trot
This is the way the farmer rides: bumpety, bumpety, bump
This is the way the young student rides: a gallop, a gallop, a gallop, a gallop, over the hedge and into the ditch!

Each time the ride would get bouncier and faster.

    My mom would do this:

    To market, to market,
    To buy a fat pig,
    Home again, home again,
    Jiggety-jig.
    To market, to market,
    To buy a fat hog,
    Home again, home again,
    Jiggety-jog.

Not sure of the one you're referring to but my sittr started this with the boys and we've carried it on...

(Bouncing slowly on the knees and said slowly)
This is the way the gentlemen ride, the gentlemen ride, the gentlemen ride
This is the way the gentlemen ride all through the town

    (Bouncing faster & said faster)
This is the way the cowboys ride, the cowboys ride, the cowboys ride
This is the way the cowboys ride all throught the town.

I try to change it up a bit for Addison (or any other girl). I will say princess instead of gentlemen and say Addison instead of cowboy...or something similar.

Okay, these are cool! Interesting how everyone has a different version. I'm jotting these down so I'm not singing the same rhyme all the time.

    Thanks for sharing! Any more?

A smooth road (repeat 4 times) gentle rocking backand forth

A bumpy road (repeat 4 times) little bumpy)

A rough road (repeat 4 times) little rougher depending on child)

A HOLE! open legs and let child "fall" a couple of inches.

    I was taught a variation on Stacy's:

The lady's horsey goes: a-trot trot trot, a-trot trot trot
    The gentleman's horsey goes: a-gallop a-gallop a-gallop
And the fa-a-a-armer's horsey goes..... A HOBBLEDY-HOY, A HOBBLEDY-HOY, A HOBBLEDY-HOY (at which point the child "falls" off to one side)

    I have a little bicycle,
I ride it to and fro,
And when I see that big green light,
I know it’s time to go!

    I have a little bicycle,
I got it at the shop,
And when I see that big red light,
I know it’s time to stop!

knee bounce or cycle the legs
