About LinkBacksNathan picked up a bee in the yard. It stung him on the thumb. I can see the stinger, but I can't pull it out. I tried making a baking soda paste to draw it out, like my Mom used to do, but that hasn't worked either.

Tweezers? Can you get the edge of a piece of paper under it? If so, maybe you can put the paper under it and use tape over it to adhere it to the paper then move the paper in the direction to remove it. I've heard you can scrape them out with a credit card edge but I've never tried that.

My g-ma used to use tobacco to draw the stinger out. I don't why but it always worked.

We always got them out with tweezers - if it is deep, may need to scratch it a bit with a sterilized pin first.
