Best Magazine for 9 year old girl?

Anna loves to read magazines. I told her she could get a new subscription for her birthday. We already get: American Girl, Discovery Girl, Disney, Nick.
She likes to read about popstars in real life, etc. I just don't want to get her something that is too old for her. Currently I'm looking at:

    M magazine
    Bop
    Tiger Beat
    Twist
    Pop Star
    K-Zone
    Hopscotch
    Total Girl

Any advice? What do you guys think?

    TIA

Have you checked out 'Teen People' ?
I know most of those teen mags are actually geared towards preteens.

National Geographic World. And then a fluff mag if you want to get her a fluff mag. Nothing wrong with that. I just really wanted to plug National Geographic world. It's because of that magazine that I to this day know facts suck as - the eye-eye, a small tree dwelling mammal is indigenous only to Madagascar. Unless of course there was an eye-eye in the movie Madagascar. Then of course you could learn it from there, too.

But I learned about different cultures around the world and animals. By far, the BEST magazine out there for kids, hands-down.

I always try and give a shout out for this magazine. It is called New Moon and it is geared for girls 8-14. There are NO ADS, and its intent is to encourage young girls to follow their dreams. The magazine is created where I live and its employees are young girls!

Is Teen Magazine still around? I read that all the time as a younger teenager. It helped with things that girls that age go through. I also think that New Moon sounds cute too. Of course, the National Geographic is always cool!!

I like the look of the New Moon magazine for dd one day. I also liked the idea of NG, but in a recent issue I bought for ds, it was incredibly full of advertising!! I just can't stomach all of that advertising. It didn't bother dh, btw, b/c he said they have to make money somehow. But, I cancelled the subscription and will purchase a different magazine for ds.
