I have not taken it personally but i do have two very close friends who've taken it.
Both said they gained quite a bit of weight, 15-20lbs and both felt very groggy a lot of the time. They were both on it for a little over 6 months and opted to stop all together with meds.
    Many Blessings

I think this is what a friend takes - and if it is, it's really made a difference for her. She hardly wanted to leave the house before and now we meet at the park, she takes her DDs shopping, helps out at the school sometimes. She's stick thin, too, so no weight issue for her.

A friends SIL takes it andit really worked.

My mom has suffered from depression for some time and recently has had anxiety issues, so they put her on it. She said it took 3.5 weeks for it to kick in. She likes it becuase it is a very low dosage.

She said no side effects, she takes it in the AM, but not drowsy.

The first time I took it, it worked great for me. I lost weight, had energy and was in control of my emotions. I was very happy on it.
The second time I started it, it just didnt do anything for me.
I do think its one of the best out there.
The first week take it with food and that helps with the tummy upset. I also experienced a mild headache the first week or two but after that, no side effects.
Oh, I experienced insomnia as apposed to the drowsiness effect that others have so if it effects you that way be sure to take as early in the day as you can.
Good luck!! I hope you start to feel better soon!

This is one class of drugs that you really cannot take advice from someone else on though Emily. What works great for one person might not be good for someone else. And what did not work at all for one might work GREAT for you. The unfortunate thing is you will have to try it all yourself and see what works. Depending on what you are taking it for, you might need to re-evaluate and get other help as well - see a counsellor (sp?), etc.

I totally agree with this statement. Each individual is different and reacts differently to medication...what works for me might not do diddly for you. What doesn't work for me, might be your miracle drug. Some people are able to find their dosage that's perfect for them immediately and stay there forever...or maybe even quit eventually...My body constantly is adjusting to the meds so that I have to up the dosage or change meds every 6 months or so...the important thing is to try whatever your doctor suggests and to keep the lines of communication open to adjusting the medication when needed. I can always tell when I'm about to have to call my doctor...I don't have energy to do anything..and I'm tired all the time...that's my first signs...

It works for me! No weight gain. I buy the 10mg pill and cut it in half.
