Hi!
My little boy is allergic to eggs. I have been wanting to make meatloaf. Does anyone have a GOOD recipe for an eggless meatloaf.
Thanks!

my grandma swears by barbeque sauce to hold her meatloaf together...as that is what the eggs are realy for.
i know a lot of people use milk as well.me and my three:

I agree w/ eli. Hamburgers hold together! You may add to add some liquid (like water or broth) since you won't have the eggs ... but it should be good!

Eggs act as a binder, primarily. One thing you can do is use breadcrumbs (preferably fresh but any will do, and heck, my sister uses stove top) and soak them in some broth (beef or chicken) to both enhance the flavor and act as a binder.

I agree w/eli too. I don't always use an egg in mine & it still holds together just fine. I just use ground chuck, chopped fine sweet onions, & fresh mushrooms & make my loaf. Then I top it w/a can of tomato soup for gravy. Sometimes I cut up potatoes & place them all around the loaf & top them w/the tomato soup too & cook together & other times I make mashed potatoes & use the tomato soup as the gravy. We almost always have corn or baby peas as our vegetable when having meatloaf. I know some people put rice & raisins in their meatloaf/stuffed cabbage recipe's too. Makes it sort of sweet tasting.

I add ketchup or tomato paste to my meat loaf (along with bread crumbs and spices) which would serve the purpose of an egg so you could omit that out of your recipe. My kiddos love meat loaf.
