Just wanted to let you all know...
My brother was scheduled for surgery today. They were going to remove a portion of his colon, give him a temporary colostomy, and he was told to plan on being out of work for 2-3 months. Because of his size, they told him to expect an incision from his chest to his groin, and would be spending 5-7 days in the hospital.
Well, he went in this morning, and they did a colonoscopy after they put him out...I'm guessing to make sure they knew where they were going etc...and decided not to do the surgery. His incisions from when he had the polyps removed had healed completely, and there was no indication of any abnormal tissue, so there was no reason to remove anything!! He went home a couple of hours later! They will repeat the colonoscopy at 3 months and 6 months and 1 year, and if everything looks normal they will consider him CURED! NO chemo, NO radiation, NO surgery, NO colostomy!
Its TRUELY a miracle! PRAISE THE LORD!! , and Bless all of you for your wonderful kind prayers!
PS...if your doctor says its time for a colonoscopy, GET IT. My brother is living proof that it DOES save lives! Mine is scheduled for May 9th.
